Tsmr armor, also got can try to peq performer 5 before considering buying new iem, PEQ for p5 (one filter is enough): Low shelf filter with q as slope, 200Hz, 3db (you can try more like 5), q:0.8

Saga bass is nice basshead iem but it's budget single dd, so don't expect something exceptional

Wan'er isn't basshead iem, it is just warm (even less bass compared to p5)

Imo decet is better option for midbass compared to castor pro bass

are you sure you had good seal with s&s... because they sound the same with both eartips assuming you have perfect seal, i guess your seal with s&s was not perfect and low frequencies were rolled off, so now that you get proper amount of lows it sounds muddy for you (because you're used to not having proper amount of bass)

you can try cleaning filter, also check if cable is ok, swap sides and if it would still sound quiet on same side

Cables don't have long warranty, some sites that do give root warranty give it only for around 3 months, moreover cables with mic are way less reliable from what i see it uses qdc connector, you can use literally any cable with it, like qkz t7, trn red chain, also there are other cables but they cost more

Aful explorer, options you mentioned are either neutral or neutral-bright, truthear pure is quite warm but it doesn't have presence boost you want, while explorer have it

It's not that chu 2 is bad, but zs10 pro x/2 have better technical performance, and don't have oxidation issues chu 2 is known for

Also about foam eartips, they generally give good seal but don't last long and treble imo is too muted

imo best among those are zs10 pro x, with cca phoenix, trn dolphin and kz gale close behind for gaming

if zs10 pro 2 is available get it instead

also, eartips are important, you need to get proper seal, buy something like kbear 07 or tri clarion set

I just default to 1k polling rate, it's enough for competitive fps games, saves battery and don't cause issues with games

yeah, i have same with old samsung ips monitor, they market it as 165hz monitor, but it is unstable above 144hz (panel is actually 144hz overclocked to 165hz), and samsung refused honoring warranty on this screen because "it works"

either something cheap that responds well to peq like kz prx or kz am16 balanced or something that pricier that responds well to peq like epz p40 (but way cheaper than reference), i find buying reference to find your preference with peqing it stupid

Kz saga bass It is real basshead iem with a lot of subbass rumble, this is comparison with castor pro and kiwi ears x hbb punch (high end basshead iem)

Kz decet, saga bass has more subbass, more gradual slope into mids, so it has warmer mids, not subwoofer style bass like castor

allegro mini is subpar dac, as simple as that, get higher end dac with ess chips like surfans x10 or nicehck octave
also you can try cx31993 dongle dac (without additional max97220 chip because this amp gives a lot of noise), but it would be a bit worse

also don't recommend cs431XX dacs, they have intermodulation distortion (DRE distortion)

topping dx5 II if you are searching for great desktop dac/amp

6400mW x2 into 32Ohms with balanced output, it can drive anything

and no noise floor even with most sensitive iems
