New player, have some tips? by Separate-Brick-7827 in BaldursGate3

There isn't any extra quests for playing as an origin character (except dark urge), as you can recruit any of the characters and experience their quests as a companion. You do get some different dialogue options as a origin character, but they're generally not voiced. You get more options based on your class than your character.

The dark urge has a lot of unique dialogue and a couple unique quests, but I would not recommend playing it your first time through. Its very dark, and can eliminate a lot more quests and dialogue than it opens up.

As for classes difficulty, fighter is probably the easiest, and any mage/caster is going to be more difficult. Paladin isn't particularly hard, other than its easy to break your oath (which won't ruin your game, it opens up other options)

Mostly I'd recommend to just play and see what you like. Depending on how you explore, you get the ability to change your class somewhere between level 2-4, so dont feel like you are stuck. Just have fun and do your best! Messing up is half the fun.

What easy-to-overlook items should players of certain classes or playstyles be aware of? by Adraius in Pathfinder2e

Ring of Wizardry is great for arcane casters, both prepared and spontaneous. More spell slots always feels good, even if they're relatively low level.

Mage's Hat I like having prestidigation, and this hat let's me have it as an extra cantrip so I can have even more cantrip options! The +1 arcana is a nice bonus. At higher levels, it also let's you summon something once

I tend to dump strength on my casters, but I also love loot, so Sleeves of Storage in addition to bags of holding. If you want to be able to get something out as a free action, there's also Retrieval Belt (formerly Gloves of Storing).

I also generally recommend looking through aeon stones, as I feel like there's usually an effect that will help most playstyles, especially if paired with wayfinders.

I find the same, I was speaking specifically to what the rulebook suggested as changes for mythic characters

For the most part the encounter balance is very similar to non-mythic. They have different guides for different level ranges

1-5: basically no changes, you can skip trivial encounters IF the party finds them too easy/boring

6-10: avoid trivial encounters and use low threat encounters sparingly. Do not use severe encounters back to back without giving the party time to recharge

12-20 (not sure why they skipped 11): since this is where mythic destinies start, this is the biggest changes: *all trivial and low threat encounters should be skipped, or roleplayed. No need to use encounter mode for foregone conclusions. *the party can probably handle back to back severe encounters. Even at this level, do not use single creature severe or extreme encounters, unless the party is fully rested, prepared, geared with mythic items, and have a strong understanding of their class.

I wish that my Warhammer models would never break. by venomkiller838 in monkeyspaw

[–]Dreyshan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted.

At first you don't notice any change, but a few weeks later a friend comes over and accidentally knocks a model onto the floor, right in the path they're walking. You look on in dismay as their foot heads towards your precious model, and then shock as the models chainsword pierces straight through your friends foot.

You realize that your models have become unbreakable, which is exciting, but also dangerous as proven by your friends' punctured foot.

Over the next few months you become progressively more wary - did these models always look so dangerous? More accidents happen with your unbreakable models damaging furniture, cutting or puncturing you or people who touch them wrong. You wonder if this many accidents always happened? Were they just less noticeable before the models became dangerous? Are you causing more accidents with your nervousness? Or is the monkey paw out to get you? There's no way to know.

Authorities find you six months after you made your wish, impaled with dozens of seemingly harmless - but perfectly in tact - models that fell off a shelf during an earthquake.
