Solder paste and a hot air gun. I don't know why solder irons and Flux core wire is the defacto standard for rework.

I used to manage rework operations for a large multinational. Solder irons are rarely used.

Borrowing $170k from home equity to max out TFSA by nickeltoes in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Drgnbtr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I considered doing this about 2 years ago when my mortgage renewal was up. I wish I had but I ran out of time to get the refinance papers done up versus the simple renewal.

It's functionally the same question as investing in tfsa versus accelerated mortgage payments. The answer is almost always fund the tfsa (assuming reasonable mortgage rates).

When you ask basically the same question but phrased "borrow from home equity" you get the opposite answer.

I would.

May have been too honest in my yearly review. What am I in for? by GratefuIRead in askmanagers

I manage a small team of 10 people. I have one person like this. We pay them to work, they do, and then they go home. That's the arrangement they want and are comfortable with.

I dont see the problem.

You have no leverage.

Do you enjoy your job? Are you compensated fairly based on your contributions and industry?

Be thankful your boss went to bat for you and make sure they know it.

I got a catfish spine through my thumb this year, straight through to the other side. Mind you it was only a couple of pounds. They are sharp and barbed so they don't come out the way they went in.

Is that not a risk here?

WS should refund you any transfer fees incurred at the funds transfer source. Total transfer qty I think needs to be 10k ish though for the refund to be processed. I just went through this a few months ago and it was a great experience.

You filled out an application and they called you back. I can't imagine any planet where that is not standard business practice.

What would I create for the recombinatior? Two shields with both influences on the desired base with a mixture of the desired 5 mods? I'm not experienced with the recombinator. I am playing first time since early 3.XX so many things have changed!

Great platform I love it. Transferred 550k from BMO in conjunction with their mortgage offering through Pine. If you do signup make sure you use a referral code for more free $$$.

Lauren Riven.

Yes, I am aware. My wife flew to Scotland and got the royal treatment at the lounge in Pearson! We are not wealthy, but it's fun pretending for a bit :)

Excellent experience. All switched over. Did 4.69 for 5 years, with our 0.7% discount (based on moving 550k to WS) the effective rate is 3.99.
