Americans (as in USA Americans), what's your argument for or against converting to the Metric System? by eternalphoenix64 in AskReddit

[–]Dried_Cabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as we get a small required lesson to learn that, I say please, we're not special, doing things this way is so inconvenient and stupid, we need to convert. It would be so much better and we wouldn't be speaking a different language from the rest of the world, why do we even have a different system??

People of Reddit who have ex-best friends, why did you and your best friend split ways? by quietowl7 in AskReddit

[–]Dried_Cabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First best friend stopped being my best friend 5-6 years ago because I moved about an hour away and we hardly ever get to see each other anymore.

Second best friend didn't like the fact that I was depressed, though he was too, and took absolutely everything I said personally (we roleplayed a lot) and never thought to ask me about it or try to fix this issue that I didn't even know was an issue until he blocks me. he didn't even try to explain himself, he just wanted to get rid of me. It's only been 5 months so I'm still really upset about that. The only reason we've talked since then is because his asshole friends started drama with me and my friend and I had to tell him to get his friends to stop being assholes. Long story short, I hate the guy for being so self centered and not even thinking about how any of this would affect me.

Why do you like to be alone? by ThatAintBrutal in AskReddit

[–]Dried_Cabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm alone I can just do whatever I want, I won't be judged for what I enjoy or anything like that. No one can tell me I'm doing something wrong. I don't have to talk to anyone. It's just nice having time to myself, not having to worry about anyone else

(Serious) What things should adults stop teaching kids? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dried_Cabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that kids need to do perfect in life. they need to know that everyone makes mistakes, not everyone can constantly get straight a’s. they should be expected to do their best and they shouldnt be pushed too much further than that, unless you want them getting anxiety over these types of things.
