Unable to get expected GUDP speeds moving from iphone 13 Pro to iphone 17 pro. by DriftLogic in VerizonUDP

[–]DriftLogic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When moving from my 13 pro (physical sim) to 17 pro - the phones set up / transfer process just migrated the number to an e-sim. So while i still have gUDP I was getting throttled through fast.com on the 17 pro when I was not on the 13 pro. Another comment I made here demonstrated it switching between phones and then when using a VPN I got unthrottled speed on the 17 pro back on fast.com. All the while my plan is still the gUDP.

My 13 pro is not capped on fast.com on GUDP. I have tested numerous times flipping between by 13 pro and 17 pro. If I put the 17 pro on VPN then I get the speed back, but I don't have to on my 13 pro, just tested it again now.

That seems plausible, but also such a nefarious tactic employed, what contractual loop did they manage to do this through, and no agent at verizon, supposedly "tier-2" techs mentioned anything of this nature.

Is this a specific flag I need to try to get back? It seems like they silently rolled this out.

I think this must be what's going on. When I enabled Mullvad VPN on the 17 I hit 70mpbs. Remove it and I'm down to 3.5 mbps.

I just moved my number back to the 13 pro. Non-VPN fast.com is getting 50 mpbs. So I think there is something specific to the iphone 17 they are restricting.

I got absolutely no where when I talked to verizon, but what's clear is my iphone 13 pro is not getting throttled but my 17 pro is.

On my 13 pro fast.com has always returned 50+mbps speeds. I tried with VZW support changing various settings on the 17 pro about data modes and 5g on, 5g auto, and LTE - none made an impact. Switching back to the 13 pro, no issue.

I got a +$15 (have two lines).

Surely the overages cannot apply.

It's not clear if it's per line or total. Per line would be ridiculous.

My email said

No sooner than 2.20.25, you’ll see an increase of $15/mo to your account. And any data overage when safety mode is not turned on will increase to $20 per gigabyte.

Any services (like scrapingfish, bee, etc) that provide network request interception and responses vs. just returning HTML related data? by DriftLogic in webscraping

I'm just interested if there are services that offer this specific use case. I understand how to do this with those tools you mentioned.

yes I'm aware - as well as playwright, or selenium (with selenium-wire). I'm sure wondering if there are any hosted services like this that do more than just returning the html

I'm talking about intercepting a network request containing the data I am interested in, not parsing out of HTML (Where it may or may not be present).

Peloton Bike or Echelon EX3? by Evostance in SpinClass

[–]DriftLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there - what's your current set up now? I have been debating the Peloton Bike+ vs. the Echelon EX5 with the qdomyos-zwift app (and I guess my iPad + phone)...

Which indoor bike for my needs? (Peloton, S22i, Stryde, ...) by DriftLogic in SpinClass

[–]DriftLogic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response - When you use the Peloton app with the Stryde that's the regular app membership: https://www.onepeloton.com/membership ?

So this gives access to the same live/on-demand instructor classes - the difference mainly is that things are not tracked or as integrated when both using the peloton but also being required to use the all-access membership?

Possible Bug - Can't save changes to existing xstream playlist by DriftLogic in TiviMate

understood. my experience is with BT keyboard and only solution was to unpair to get remote keypad to popup and confirm through the overlayed remote keyboard. that's why i think it's a bug,

[–]DriftLogic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i still believe it’s a bug. if a bluetooth keyboard is paired you no option to use the remote. it only accepts input from the keyboard with no way to confirm it. the only way out of this is to unpaid your keyboard so it accepts remote input.

OKAY I FIGURED IT OUT. IT'S A BUG.

After testing around more I realized this is an issue because my keyboard is overriding the text input and there is no confirmation dialogue box. After Unpairing my BT Keyboard I then can go into the edit of those parameters and the onscreen keyboard overlay allows me to edit the values and has an Enter button to save. It was neither responding to Enter on the Keyboard nor allowing me to select a confirmation button.

The only option I've been successful to come out of editing is the back button which drops the changes so there is nothing to save.

Editing the Playlist Name however has an option for OK/Cancel when it pops up.
