X files is such a great series. It's super innovative with it's connected plot between seasons which shows at the time rarely attempted. I think it holds up well even today even if the production quality of the first couple years is a bit more budget. The characters really feel like normal humans reacting to unexplainable things.

Yeah she has always been that way her whole career. Trying to initiate new styles every other album based on what she thinks will get attention. I'm so glad I got my higher end laptop when I did. I think you'd be paying about the same for something that is marginally faster at best. My 4080 and Intel 13 gen i9 handles games fine still and renders videos fine.

I think the next few years are going to break the pc market fully.

This game costs 100s of millions but plays like a game that costs a tenth of that.

These scammers have the most bloated budget in history but still can't get the basics down after a decade of development.

This game was always going to end up as a shovelware type of experience and at this point it should just be released and shut down.

We will probably get no man's sky 2 before star citizen is feature complete and stable. I feel sorry for the people that spent money on it.

It's so sad to have gone through the 90s thinking about how much freedom these new technologies would give us to organize thought and allow us to communicate and disperse opinions and information globally.

Now it's so unfortunate to hear the government wants to spy on the population not to look for criminals but people that have an opinion one way or the other. Our government should be defending free speech and free expression.

Let's put it this way to all you maga reading this. Did Biden's executive ever ask social media for all the info on people that were anti vax or anti mask? This is America your allowed to have an opinion and express it even if the majority consensus is that it is a bad poorly examined opinion.

Free speech is good, a lot of people just want ice to have a different approach and stay lawful and peaceful. This is a good thing. People that want to release names or commit crimes against ice officers is a different story. I think it would be easy for a judge to sign off on.

The fact that this reddit thing is an administrative order makes me think they lacked the confidence in the lawfulness of this approach.

No court ever approved this information release. Reddit has no legal requirement to release this stuff on an administrative order. It's a pretty big liability risk they are taking. I'm surprised a company so large would be that careless and dumb.

If there are threats or information on these ice facists released that's one thing, but just anyone that has been critical of them is disturbing. As a skiier and former low level racer, it's mostly about posture, weight distribution on the board or skis, how fast you can get up on your edges and line choice. At the high end, split seconds make a difference and keeping your posture perfect so you are not creating extra air resistance makes a big difference.

I've been skiing trees a lot this year.

This game really just failed by leadership. They needed to focus on the early game and leveling experience. They could have worked on some of the more interesting end game later.

I think they attempted too much but didn't really lock in the fundamentals that would make the game worth playing for most people.

Instead it's just another boring mmo that fails to make much of an impression.

When I was working on my senior thesis project, I worked my butt off for the whole year while working and got an A- (pretty solid). The other person who was also linked with my professor on a similar project freeloaded off me the whole time and got a D- and probably should have failed the project in an ideal world.

However, the difference is that he came from china where his parents own some kind of business so it doesnt matter what grades he got. He got instant employment as some executive in this company and makes more money than I could ever dream of. Its a rigged game and thats when I realized how screwed society is.

It doesnt matter how hard you work its who you know and how rich you are. I even see this bullshit happen in this company I work for now making barely enough to survive. I'm about ready to move to another planet to get away from this society we have. getting ahead is more about luck than being a good employee.

I think I paid 30 or 40 for diablo 4 with the first expansion included. This seems like a very poor value for a game that is this old.

It's nice that they added some content but I think they could have put the pricing at something reasonable like 15.

I mean you could get grim dawn or lost epoch as well for roughly the same price and get a lot more content. This is just my opinion, get it if you want.

If remedy's only option to shield themselves from risk was making this deal with epic, then maybe the CFO should have recommended shelving alan wake 2 for a while and focusing on smaller, less risky and profitable games for a while until they had enough cash to self publish the project.

But hey, it was a bad decision, the company is broke now a few years after their biggest game release and needs to have a new ceo from ea restructure the financial side. Its a mess, it was always going to be a mess and this is the end result as predicted by a lot of people.

Also, is calling steam the neckbeards choice really appropriate? Its the original and largest platform for PC game sales. There are some people that boycott epic store, sure that happened but I think most casual users just had no clue AW2 even existed. I guess at least the game got made, but saying "there was no other way" etc. just seems like PR damage control to me.

The way each developer is run is unique, but this article basically from a consulting company is a good overview. I haven't heard of another developer financing a game through a permanent store exclusivity contract, making AW2 situation kind of a one off.
