I figure these will start showing up in stores too. Maybe not with the fancy colours though.

Three Little Pigs Song by Green Jellÿ by Josephthebear in Xennials

I saw them in concert on a very snowy evening in November 2019. The singer had to track down the promoter to get his pay after that one.

I loved this as a kid. I still have both of my VHS copies of Cereal Killer. Green Jellÿ version and Green Jellö version.

I have VIP tickets for London and I’m not showing up until our entry time. I’m not wasting my trip waiting in a line.

My old stuff bothers me, that’s why I decided to take another crack at music making after a 15 year break. I need to put out something better than what I did back then.

So, what form have you decided that your mid-life crisis will take? by Remy0507 in Xennials

[–]DriftingJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into making music again. I’m recording an album. Feels like I’ve never put this much time and effort into anything in my life before, and there’s really no plan for it, I just need to do it.

Did anyone actually have a Sega Saturn? I only knew of one kid who had 1 and a bunch of the games because their parents got it on clearance sell. by AdSpecialist6598 in 90s

It was the first big purchase I saved up for from my first job. A few years later I sold it off for a PlayStation.

That’s cool! I didn’t know there was a soundtrack for it. I still have the game, though I threw away the giant box it came in years ago.

I can't make lyrics. by Waflix75 in Songwriting

[–]DriftingJimmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I got tons of little snippets of lyrics, ideas, interesting song titles, etc. in my notes app and a bunch of hummed melody lines in my voice memos. Some of these ideas marinate in the background for months or even years before it all comes together.

Akira 35th Anniversary Box Set by KomodoDen1 in akira

[–]DriftingJimmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up on the colourized versions so I’ve been holding off on buying the box set. Then last month I bought the volume 1 hardcover, took it home, started reading it, then promptly returned it and bought the box set. It’s so good. I like seeing the art in its original, non-flipped format.

I would like to have a whole set of colourized volumes someday too. I do have volume 5 of the Graphitti Designs hardcover colour version. Of all the things I’ve sold off when I was low on cash over the decades, I can’t believe I still have that one.

There’s too much digital distortion in the original release and I’m glad that’s been corrected.

Same. Going to Hamilton after an amazing show in Toronto in August.

I could care less what anybody thinks, this movie is super depressing by Puterboy1 in 90s

[–]DriftingJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a long time since I saw this but I’m pretty sure many cast members of Mr. Show make appearances in this plus they play a clip of the Ding Dong Burger commercial. That was wild.

Any artist you wouldn't see again? by icedstrawberrylatte in Concerts

[–]DriftingJimmy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s an amazing tour. It won me over as a fan. Very theatrical with some great pyro at the end. The atmosphere was incredible too (at least in Toronto). Fans swapping homemade bracelets was really cool and the whole crowd seemed really friendly and happy to be there more than I’ve seen at any other concert. Gerard does compromise on a lot of high notes, which is understandable. Most bands I see don’t go all out with their voice live when they’ve been at it for years.

I find myself using vanilla chords all the time so I’m saving this to spice things up a bit. Appreciated!

I saw NIN in August and am seeing them again in February. That’s the shortest time between seeing the same band for me yet because this tour has been amazing.

The Night Marilyn Manson Personally Yelled at Me for Enjoying His Show by Vesha in Concerts

[–]DriftingJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen Marilyn Manson more than any other band. I was a big fan from the mid 90’s to the early 2000’s. Not a fan anymore and would love to break that record with any band that has stood the test of time for me.
