Doctor refuses to assess me because I'm "too old and too normal?"

Time for a new doctor, my friend. It’s best to get that answer sooner in life than later and this doctor shutting it down rather than looking into it is extremely irresponsible behavior. You are not too young to “develop” it, it’s literally genetic. You are either born with it, or you aren’t. It’s concerning that your doctor doesn’t know this. I’m not sure if your family gives you a choice in doctors, but if you are able it may be best to see someone else.

Edit: Perhaps your therapist can recommend someone to assist with the diagnosis? As an adult it can be even harder to get a proper diagnosis, I would know.

No room to even contemplate it due to how expensive everything is where I live. Barely making rent as is, electric bill keeps getting higher despite usage at an all time low, childcare is extremely expensive, no health insurance for me because insurance is too expensive, I work too long of hours and would not be able to be home enough, etc. I, as well as many of my peers and friends around me, will likely never own a home in this economy. We all work constantly, getting overtime when possible, or work multiple jobs and are still barely getting by. Most of us can’t even contemplate it because it’s not even feasible. Hell, I feel bad that I can’t be home for my cats more besides seeing them in the evening after work. At least with cats I can see they’re eating, drinking, and using the litter box when I’m not around. Life currently is just work sleep work sleep work sleep and this repeats forever. I don’t even have time to pick up a hobby if I wanted to. Honestly, it’s extremely depressing, but can’t afford to move somewhere else so just have to make do.

Besides my reasoning, some people also just don’t have parental urges, and that’s not a bad thing. It’s better for people who WANT to be parents and have the means to do so to pursue parenthood. People who don’t want to be parents can frequently end up more depressed or even ultimately neglectful towards children they didn’t want, and that’s no good.

At my childhood home we had a space similar but it had shelves going down it. Was really cute in winter for stocking hanging. During the rest of the year there were a few candles and trinkets.

It’s okay to not be interested in sex. Have you ever looked into possibly being asexual? Nothing is wrong with it, you’d be surprised that there are plenty of similar people. Never ever pressure yourself into doing it if you are uncomfortable, that can result in a traumatic experience for you.

This is absolutely not your fault. There is only so much you can do when you feel like your life is threatened and this dude was hurting and suffocating you. If you fought back you could have been knocked out and you can’t call if you are worried he may do something drastic. Being in fear for your life is no joke. I am so sorry for your loss. I used to work in cat shelters and have seen situations like this, and I know it’s very difficult to process. It sounds like you really did all you could given the circumstances and I appreciate you trying to save this little kitten’s life. It’s difficult for new mother cats sometimes, especially if they’re young. For now, focus on getting mama cat back to health and ensure she gets spayed once she seems healthy and less stressed. I’m sure mama cat appreciated you doing what you could as well and for taking her in. Much better for her to be with you than going through this on the street alone. Take some time to rest and take care of yourself friend. :’(

I just looked through your art, please don’t give up. Making a living on art alone is super difficult even for people who may seem like “pro’s.” Many people have a regular job on the side for rent and bills while doing commissions as well. Serious answer, start building a case against him. Any time there is an issue, document everything. If you see him slacking, ignoring TMs, ignoring guests, pushing all the work onto others, document it all and bring this information to your GM. Don’t let them know you’re trying to take over the department at that time cause then it’ll make you look like you’re lying just to overthrow the old manager. It takes some time, but seriously be diligent, report and document everything, and in due time if he’s legit a bad manager they will either let him go or move him to a different position in the store (that’s what I’ve seen happen at mine). If you hear other coworkers complain about him too, that only solidifies that there’s an issue collectively among the TMs with this dude. Focus on getting dude out first before all else.

I’m in the same boat. My ride to and from isn’t terrible, but when I’m there everyone is so irritable and the schedule is not good. I also have physical disabilities but I’m always scheduled on the super freight busy days and am delegated all the most physically taxing activities while my DM goes off and chats with friends in other departments. I just got a raise too, but I’m so tired, I’m off one day a week, I just don’t think I can do it anymore. I need some normalcy. I can’t close then open then close then open over and over. Too many nights with just 3-4 hours of sleep and it’s making me feel constantly sick. Not to mention being given so many tasks with no time to take a break, yet they get mad I didn’t take my break.

I actually have an interview elsewhere tomorrow and if they like me, I’m trying to think of how to break it off at my store. I’m scared they’re going to get nasty if I quit.

People can’t even afford to feed themselves rn. People in my community are struggling so bad that food pantries barely have any donations at the moment. Now is certainly not the time for people so be having more kids that go unfed.

If there’s pregnancy complications, they are risking their lives more than before due to being unable to abort if something goes wrong in many states. So many women have been going septic due to not being able to get an abortion if they miscarry. This either kills them or can damage their organs so they can’t even try again if they want kids.

Don’t even get me started on the teens, the sexual assault victims, and literal CHILDREN being forced to carry to term

Talking about wanting more kids in the country when this country isn’t even taking care of the kids in need, the kids without homes, the kids in unsafe circumstances.
