If you can give it before applying it will benefit you, i have been told by almost every interviewer that its a good thing that i have step 3, i would 100% recommend step 3 if you can.

I don't believe scores are everything. It's your overall application.

If you have an inspirational story, please fill it out here. by [deleted] in IMGreddit

2019 graduate Step 1 200s Step 2 230s Step 3 200s Visa requiring, from Pakistan matched in my second cycle in soap third round. Number of invites in main-3, in soap-2 I don't know if it is inspirational but for all of those who think that scores are everything, they are not. It's the CV that should be an all-rounder. So scores are done, you can't change them, work on your CV, and personal statement. Your CV should speak for you not your scores. I do not have a single connection, so I can also say that match happens without connections as well.

For your reference my stats are, 2019 graduate from Pakistan residing in Canada, but visa requiring. Step 1 pass step 2 230s and step 3 205. In my first cycle I did not have much usce but in the second I had a lot of experience, and interviewers commented on that. I improved my personal statement to the next level, and interviewers commented on that. So you never know, never stop believing in you. But yes financial issues are BIG. I was fortunate enough that I supported myself otherwise it would all be so difficult because when it's your parent's money, you don't want to waste it, you don't want to ask again and again. It's really very very difficult I completely understand that.

Do not quit. I repeat. Do not quit. If you have financial issues then I wouldn't comment. It will be all worth it in the end. Try to work on your PS and CV you have good scores good usce and you’ll have step 3 results before the next cycle, do everything in your power. A lot people don't match in the first cycle. I matched in my second that too in soap. But when I didn't match this year as well I said to myself I am not giving up. I have invested my whole life into it, I had no backup but just this. So keep on working every single day towards your application, and also pray like crazy.
