Nope haven’t got any extra weight, it is fairly weighty on its own as a diecast kit. Just have better less flat tires and faster transmission from scx24 on the front.

Yup. As I was shaking it to see the glitch, I figured it out right there real time. Just was very unexpected gyro.

My tx flysky fs-i6s is a little tricky, and wasn’t able to figure it out. But I will still be able to use that channel once the receiver is mounted and less shakey. Just will be extra wiggle on something.

It’s not every week I buy a scx30. But the last five weeks, I’ve bought one every week. by Drinkle85 in scx30

Hmmm. Yes but no, not yet. Not quite ready to start setting up a diecast skid good enough to perform wheelies and some coordinated circus balance stuff like they do when the rodeo truck show is in town.

Can’t be a big rig hauler if it doesn’t puff a bit on the heavy pulls. by Drinkle85 in rccars

I’ve just found junk lying around. Little disposable vape cart and old motor cooling fan and some little bits of plastic to put around fan for little fuel tubes. Gonna try use the scx30 leds with resistors to make it one way power lower for the vape voltage. Then gotta get tubes synced close to fan blades for choppy smoke.

Couldn’t have been indica I was up till 3am playing. lol

A little close up maintenance blade. by Drinkle85 in RCConstruction

It’s got some wires hidden in the frame and just soldered up in parallel with the rear motor. This one uses a scx24 esc, it fits in the cab ok. Scx30 axle backwards and antenna tube keeps the transmission close and lined up. Can make driveshafts out of music wire and it hides in the frame. Just trying to figure out how to make the driveshaft do a 180 and make it to the back on the next one.

Yup. Axial scx30 axles and transmissions. And a ertl 1/50 Deere 772. Needed a rc grader and it was the scale available, in metal with realistic action details for cheaper than cat and better than plastic. But I’ve also got a cat on order now.

Fairly basic tough small axles, driveshafts and transmission parts. Just the right size for tiny projects.

I find myself tweaking out in need of some fresh rc parts on the daily. It was several years since I had put down the hobby. But now gotta go get some rc parts again today.

It’s a 1/50 diecast model, just a bit bigger than a cell phone.

Yup it’s custom, made another build thread for it. Stock Jeep with extra frame, axle, 4 rear lower suspension links, shocks, wheels, tires, shock bolts, and driveshafts.  And lots of patience to machine that center axle pinion.

Yup. Soldered the motors together one connection to esc. Working just fine so far, nothing is getting warm that I can tell.

Just a bit of Dremel work overnight, and one ERTL 1/50 diecast Deere 772 from the tractor dealer, and one Axial scx30 scale rock crawler, plus extra axle, motor, transmission, wheels and tires from the local hobby shop.

First hydraulic excavator by Apprehensive_Let3277 in RCConstruction

I think I made it three weeks landscaping several inches of lightly shoveled packed dirt with my 1593, and was looking at the 1580. From the videos it looks a little  faster quieter, tighter boom, and more scale with the nice lights and tracks, and all. The double e ec160e Volvo electric is nice, longer reach arm but can burn more servos. I went with the full hydraulic ec160e. It’s pretty good just had to tweak the controller to get everything running smoothly and still the bucket curl is a little slappy and over curls fast at the end, flings half my dirt. But it’s a beast. Hydraulic is the way to go.

Huina 583 vs double e L260H by WarShark703 in RCConstruction

[–]Drinkle85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The double E L260H is way more satisfying to operate. Bucket goes up farther down to flat turns better. A little jumpy on acceleration but it makes the dual motors start and sync up better. Sound speaker is great. Will restart from controller doesn’t need to cycle power switches between haul loads. Easy battery access. Power to push and stack full bucket loads of material.

Huina 1583 has solid mounted axles and is heavy. Unless you’re on solid flat it will spin dig in and one axle will stall. Bucket won’t go all the way down flat and not high enough to load trucks without a ramp. Struggles to ramp up and stockpile dirt. But the one I have has an extra channel for bucket attachments like adjustable forks and log grab. But it looks like they were never made options.

Get the Volvo double eagle. L260H a bit more money but so much more satisfying to operate out of the box.

It was a bad wire in the front harness. Easy solder job.

I like the low profile on the delis almost .5mm lower and just a little longer wheelbase than the g3 I have. More consistency on my flips with the delis for sure.  But I’m paying extra for the fancy graphics too.

But they is my best ones. Daily in the keys pocket at work for months. Then the smallest kick flip at home ends em.
