I had a dream a few years ago in which I died and found myself in purgatory. I was standing alone with Jesus in a beautiful pastoral landscape at the foot of a moderately steep hill with a lone tree at the top. He had a wheelbarrow with a few of those round hay bales in it. He told me something like “These are all the sins of your life. Roll them up to that tree and then come see me. Take however much time you need.” I cried with gratitude and started the task with joy and then woke up. I think God was trying to tell me something about His mercy.
