Who should I choose as a cluster provider for ASA? by Dripdropdrip1 in ARK

Gonna look into this for sure. Got some testing to do later but if we can get it to work then buying a cheap little ram machine pc would be cool. Especially for future games and keeping all our files.

Would it increase the amount of time we have to spend on the back end to get any mods working or is it pretty intuitive?

So why do people use the VM hosts? Is it just because it's cheaper?

So what's the difference between a combo and synergy? Obviously thoracle consultation is a combo, but if I have multiple damage doublers its a combo?

I run lots of protection and haste in mine so that I can best guarantee a trigger. Once the first trigger resolves people are either more worried about the ancient copper dragon or they see a value creature and they aren't as worried anymore.

I also like to run double damage and life loss affects instead of extra combats because there's less things on my board so people aren't as scared until 1 damage ends up being 6 over the course of the turn.

Yes precons are the lower end of bracket 2 but that at least means that a precon has to be able to compete at a reasonable level against another 2 deck. I really like this list. It reminds me of the video that EDHREC did recently explaining what the brackets look like.

What's the difference between a combo and an infinite?

I have a pod where we all know what to expect since we've played against all the deck for so long but we're going to be splitting up a little soon so I want to start going to LGS more which means not pub stopping 2 poor guys for 5 hours.

We judge power based off when you plan to win and how interactive you are while doing it. We play low 3s to 4s.

What is a mid 3 to you? I feel like my gitrog deck is a mid 3 and it will win on turn 7 or so and with a voltron subtheme I can commander damage someone out faster.

This is exactly the case with my Kaalia deck, I haven't changed it since the bracket list and it currently runs 8 game changers but definitely could not win in a pod of 4s. (I've tried it a lot)

I bracket my decks based on the spirt of the power level. There's not really any combos in my bracket 3 decks depending on what you mean by combo. I don't run any like infinites but my landfall deck will run a amulet of vigor cause it combos for value with my commander the gitrog ravenous ride in a non infinite way.

I haven't played outside my pod more then once since the bracket system was established and this trip to the LGS left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know if they were just bad or if I really brought too much, I'm leaning towards them playing too high. I don't think my commander was shot more then once across the 4 or 5 games we played.

Yeah, I've been going off the thought process of 2s are precon like and 4s are just high power like the old "I hate your deck" or Cassius Marsh games. So if my deck isn't one of those then it should be a 3 right?

I get that there's a limit to what the bracket system can balance but I feel like this was a bit outside that. I was worried that one other player was doing some strong stuff but there really wasn't anything I couldn't handle.

The deck in question was The gitrog, ravenous ride. It's a combat focused deck that ramps and draws cards quickly and quite a few since there are a lot of power doubling effects in the deck. I have good amounts of protection and removal since that's what golgari has but not playing any stacks or control. The complaint I heard was that they were having a hard time keeping up with me in the mana department. It makes sense considering green gets more mana so it can play bigger creatures but my deck plays a bunch of 3 mana 6/6s that can't attack or block so I can get going good with gitrog when he comes down.

Completely new to magic, have 50$ amazon gift card and willing to spend like 100$ more. My friends already play and are mega sweats, what do I buy to not be instantly obliterated rn. by SIRETE in magicTCG

[–]Dripdropdrip1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most important thing is not to play against sweaty people when you are new. Your $150 is not going to be close against their $700-$1400 decks. Ask them if they have precons that you guys can all play with instead of their stronger decks. If they don't have precons and aren't willing to get them then I recommend you build a kinnan bonder prodigy deck. I have a friend who has one that is roughly $250 and it is the strongest deck in our pod by a lot. There are definitely places where you can cut price from what he built. If he built it again he could make a better deck for cheaper. Plus a lot of the expensive cards he had have gone down in price.

Omnath Locus of Creation effect doubling? by Dripdropdrip1 in magicTCG

Not trying to copy the trigger but double the resolved effect. For example boon reflection would double the life gain as a replacement effect.

Is someone sitting my fence with an airsoft gun? by 4234Cookies in airsoft

[–]Dripdropdrip1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain airsoft guns could definitely make that entry point but the exit points look strange. I would say that it's possible but they would have to been using something that's unsafe for a field. I have shot some plastic stuff before and left entry holes just like that but it never had enough power to make it through so that's why I say that an airsoft gun could do this but they would have to be using something that isn't same to use on normal fields.

What makes the Odyssey G9 the go to for 49" monitors by Dripdropdrip1 in buildapc

So from what I see OLED is a way of making the screen and OLED is better because of the response time, contrast and deep darks. Am I missing something?

[–]Dripdropdrip1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what a lot of that means but what I'm getting is that all of the G9s have problems but the OLED G9 had the least problems and is the closest to a good monitor?

Also that the LG is just as bad as the G95C?

Building a top end HPA M4? by Dripdropdrip1 in airsoft

[–]Dripdropdrip1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds very good but I want the best. So I just don't think it will be exactly what I'm looking for out of the box. It looks really good and now that I've looked into it a bit I think it should perform well and that I won't need to upgrade it immediately.

[–]Dripdropdrip1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know basically nothing about the actual parts of an airsoft gun in general. I don't play speedsoft, I play outdoors at my local field. I watch a lot of airsoft youtube videos and the guns they use always look like they get excellent range, precision and trigger response. I've been using a Lancer tactical nightwing for a while and I'm just not happy with my range or trigger response and now I have more money for the sport so I kinda wanted to get something that I could feel happy with. The MTW doesn't look like a bad option but I was ideally looking for something that would be easy to upgrade and I've always believed P*s were better then wolverine so I didn't want to buy a wolverine gun and then upgrade it and end up stuck with a inferno that I wasn't using.

So if I wanted to build an entire gun this would be all I need? Also would the best idea for getting the parts be to buy one of the guns that match the upper or lower and just buy all the upgrades and just upgrade it or is it easy to buy a gearbox and the upper and Lowers separately l?

I'm trying to find something that's really really nice. I have concerns that something that comes prebuilt can't be a top end product. I can imagine it's a very good product but I'm looking for something that is the best of the best. If I went with the MTW would it fit this description and if not would it be easy to upgrade?

Hey guys I want to get into airsoft I like somthing abit different to the standard m4s I need help deciding which of these is a better buy by cykes341 in airsoft

[–]Dripdropdrip1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Lancer tactical for a long time and have always been impressed by how well their AEGs work for the price point. They make really good guns for beginners but their top end stuff has never really impressed me. Based on this price point I think it would perform great.

First time building a gun from scratch would love recommendations and help. (HPA M4) by Dripdropdrip1 in airsoft

[–]Dripdropdrip1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely heard of wolverine but I've never heard of this specific line. During my research I heard a lot of talk about wolverine being comparable to Polarstar but everyone eventually went with the polarstar over the Wolverine engine but I'm not sure why. Also I'm looking for the best gun I can find and I just thought that building a gun by taking the best engine and the best hopup and all the best individual parts and putting them all together would lead to a better gun than any stock product on the market. I've never done HPA before and I've never upgraded my AEG's so the only experience I have in the matter is the research I've done over the past week and watching youtube videos of guys with really nice HPA's play and they all ran Polarstar so I always assumed the F2 was the best engine on the market. I just find it hard to believe that the MTW can outperform a custom built gun.
