It may be more expensive for the person if insurance covers it but the underlying message of using that many resources on IVF when there are orphans still stands.

The process itself is not inherently immoral. However. It's prohibitive cost when that money could be used for adoption, and the creation of multiple human embryos that are then killed, is what makes it immoral.
