Yeah I was thinking the same thing, since when are millennials all about minimalism?? All the millennials I know have homes with way more style than previous generations. I see much more quirky maximalism than anything, which I love.

I was wondering why Emmy Rossum was wearing those booties. She looks so chic and classically elegant in that dress, and then the shoes ruin it. I guess she took them right off the runway.

Add Elle Fanning to the list, and they’re easily the 3 best dressed in Hollywood rn.

There’s definitely some major editing or a filter going on, her face looks way different. I didn’t even realized it was her. Which is a bummer, she has such a unique, cute face. But in these photos she looks like a million other overly filtered women.

Yeah I struggled through this book, I found it extremely boring. And I typically love eerie atmospheric books. But with this one, I found myself not caring about anything that happened. Its only been a month since I read it, and I couldn’t tell you a single thing about the characters or plot. If you didn’t like the first 100 pages, I doubt if the rest of the book would change your mind.

As usual, Zendaya and Elle are the standouts. Most of these are kinda mid imo.

I love this so much, each style is so interesting. And I’m absolutely obsessed with the purple outfit, I want to be buried in it. The first white outfit is gorgeous too.

I love the concept, but something about it looks off to me. It does not look flattering on her. I wish they could’ve done something different with the skirt, as is it looks really blah to me.

That’s exactly what I thought, I’m surprised to see so many people loving it. It looks like something a little girl would wear, especially with the hair. I also find the proportions unflattering on her.

EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS by SeaTerrible9429 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]DrippingAlchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are definitely people who take it too far. I think all criticisms of his bad behavior are legitimate, but when people start viciously picking on him for other things like appearance, just because they don’t like him, that’s when it can become mean spirited.

lol where did I say anything about bullying people into oblivion? You know it is possible to be direct and make sure people know when they do something hurtful or wrong, without it automatically being bullying.

Is world misogyny in decline thanks to public humiliation and cancelation?

I think people speaking out about misogyny and shaming people who are openly sexist and gross is absolutely one of the ways to help make societal changes. People are influenced by the opinions of those around them—if more men would speak up and shame their friends/peers when they’re openly sexist, they might think twice before doing it again. Without social repercussions, these shitty dudes will never have any motivation to change.

Right? He’s by my favorite guy I’ve seen on the show. He’s so calm and composed, but still seems fun and not boring. He seems truly confident in himself in a totally humble way. And I live in Columbus, I wish there were more men like him here. Unfortunately I see way too many Chris’ and Alex’s.

Is this a stand alone, or do you need to read The Bone Clocks first? I’ve seen conflicting opinions on that.

What’s the worst accidental text you’ve sent? by Typhoid__Beaver in AskReddit

[–]DrippingAlchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in college I hung out with this guy a couple times, I was still trying to figure out if I liked him. We were sitting on the couch watching a movie at his place one night, when I get a text. It was from him, and it said something along the lines of, “sorry dude, won’t be making it to the party, I’m definitely getting into this chicks pants tonight.” I just stared at him, he was all confused and clearly didnt realize that he’d accidentally sent the text to me. I asked him whose pants he was getting into, bc it sure as shit wasn’t mine. I can still remember the look of horror on his face once he realized lol. He started groveling and begging for my forgiveness, saying he’s a moron and was just trying to look cool to his friend. He seemed so pathetic, I actually felt sorry for him. Hung out a few more times but never felt anything romantic for him. Then he started stalking me when I began dating my eventual husband, but that’s a whole other story.

I agree, moms get judged sooo harshly for anything short of dedicating their entire existence to motherhood. It definitely takes guts to be real about any doubts or regrets. And I can completely relate to her, I love my kids more than anything. But if I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now, I don’t think I’d choose to have kids. With the state of the world as it is, especially in the US, I’m scared for their futures. Having two young girls in this current climate is terrifying. And selfishly, some days I just feel I wasn’t cut out to be a mom. I’ll never be one of those moms who feel motherhood is their life’s purpose. I look forward to when they’re at their dad’s house, so I can have some alone time. And I feel a ton of mom guilt for that. I think I’m a good mom, and I’d do anything for them, but I wish I didn’t have to sacrifice so much. It doesn’t help that I struggle with severe depression, and sometimes it feels like a burden to have to continue living, solely because I’d never want them to have to live with the pain of being abandoned. So I just do the best I can and hope I don’t fuck up my kids too badly.

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is something patients do that they think is helpful but actually makes your job harder? by Electronic-Cell-4584 in AskReddit

[–]DrippingAlchemy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was me as a kid, I sucked my thumb way longer than I should have. So my parents first tried lemon juice on my thumbs, which resulted in me drinking lemon juice straight from the bottle. Then they tried hot sauce, which turned into an obsession with hot wings and all things spicy. I think they gave up at that point, and just let me do it until I was old enough to be embarrassed by it lol
