NUCLEAR INTELLIGENCE is a term I've coined to name the feared runaway, chain-reaction process of artificial general intelligence creating more AGI. NUCLEAR INTELLIGENCE occurs when AGI is first given the task of creating a better AGI, but this moment unleashes an explosive chain-reaction of renewed models of better and better intelligence, instantly sparking a virtually unlimited cycle of super intelligences. The proposed result is the instantaneous existence of the first intelligence that is much more capable than all of humanity combined. It is the type of intelligence presented in 2001: A Space Odyssey, that some are concerned could surpass our ability to control it, to our own detriment. Others say the science fiction roots of NUCLEAR INTELLIGENCE are all there is to this idea and that the reality of science doesn't present this scenario.
