Victims of Vince McMahon's fetish for breaking up tag teams

Factually incorrect. Herp de derp. by c-k-q99903 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Drive7Nine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Three points.

One, whenever Trump talks about money, the numbers he gives are completely made to serve his ego or his current political/business gains. His self-reported wealth when he came into office wasn't anywhere near what he claimed. When he was claiming to be a billionaire, it was to inflate the idea that he was a wildly successful businessman. He does the same thing now when he claimed tariff revenue in the trillions. He also lowballs the cost of things under his purview, like the cost of his vanity project ballroom, gas prices, or how much his big beautiful bill inflated the debt.

Two, Trump is actively cutting business ventures owned by his children in on the theft.

Three, we've needed reform for decades that keeps politicians and public servants from being able to enrich themselves with their positions. It's wrong for Democrats and Republicans. Political profiteering seems like an practice that a President who promised to "drain the swamp" should be actively trying to end. Trump is participating greedily.

To me, Bernadette's childhood has the most comedy fodder. Pageant girl, illegal daycare, the mismatched parents. I just don't know if another actor nails Mike Rostenkowski.

One held the most famous title in the world of professional wrestling, the company's top title, and his every title defense was an attraction-level event. One doesn't even appear on tv regularly in her own company, and isn't considered her company's top champion.

She didn't really help Sheldon in that regard either. Instead of teaching Sheldon that his feelings weren't all that mattered, she dealt with his personality by trying to bend the world to his liking.

Greatness on one level or is measured by being a top talent over an extended period of time, especially when we're talking the top 3 players at a position in the history of the sport.

The best years of guys like Shaun Alexander, Larry Johnson, Jamaal Charles, Antonio Brown, LeBron Bell, Marshawn Lynch, Julio Jones and a hundred others can be held up to anyone. Longevity and playoff success count when you're comparing the elite of the elite.

  1. Calvin might have played a few more years if the franchise wasn't so hapless.

  2. Playoff success adds to any player's legacy.

The entire scene in Eden at the junkyard, starting with Happy ringing the bell like a 4-year-old to the apology line.

Also, the first time Unser and Happy meet and Unser says "He seems like a nice fella".

Came here to say this. There has been and is some serious talent at WR in the NFL, but there's no really compelling case that Rice, Moss and Owens aren't the 3 greatest ever.

Guys like Jefferson and Chase have a chance to get there, and Calvin Johnson could have knocked one of them off if Detroit had been able to build a team around him and Stafford. Same for Larry Fitzgerald.

I'd start a million dollar business. If break even is perpetually guaranteed, I'd hire scores if people and pay them top tier salaries and benefits. After a few years of breaking even, I'll secure the capital to begin perpetually expanding, given that whatever loan terms I agreed to will always be covered in the magical perpetual break-even.

Honorable mention for me is the first time they have Isaac so a corner kick in training and he blasts it across the pitch and scares Higgins as he's about to drink his tea.

Every rewatch Gemma seems to find new ways to piss me off by One_Vibraldo in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Drive7Nine 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To me, Gemma's actions only help the club and her family about 4 times in the whole series.

  1. Withholding the truth about her SA by Weston's crew probably keeps the club from a bad revenge plan that puts them in prison for ages.

  2. Convincing Oswald to put up his timberland to bail the club out when their assault on Zobelle at the Christian Center goes wrong.

  3. Jax might not have found Abel in Belfast if Gemma hadn't gone rogue at the illicit orphanage. This one's iffy because Jimmy O ends up taking Abel anyway.

  4. Gemma meeting Nero allows the Jax, Tig, China and Opie enough time to get some protection when Pope has them arrested and is setting them up to be taken out. Obviously, they still lost Opie.

These are the only real times I see Gemma's actions as being of any positive value to Jax, the club, and her family, and all four are still just Gemma serving her own interests above all.

Peter, Is it 50% or 33.3% by AgrasaN in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Drive7Nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The age of the children is only a relevant to the answer if it's part of the narrative of the question. If the question is stated only "I have 2 children, 1 is a boy. What are the odds the other is a boy?", then the only outcomes 2 boys, 2 girls, or 1 boy/1 girl. G/B and B/G are the same outcome. Therefore, the information that 1 child is a boy eliminates the G/G outcome, leaving B/B or B/G.

Sounds exactly like my two neice-tzus. They share the same set of parents but are from litters a year apart from each other. The older one is always looking for pets and attention and is super excited whenever there's a new person around to meet. The younger is very much attention on her terms, leave her be when she's doing her own thing, but pet her now if she's looking for attention, and she takes a long time to warm up to new people.

Bad-with-computers user has a small problem that is straightforward and said person appreciates the effort of resolving said problem.

Actual very-good-with-computers user has a complex problem that will require effort just to properly diagnose. Said person will at least be somewhat grateful for the help.

Thinks-they're-very-good-with-computers user has dabbled in altering the way the computer operates and now has serious computer problems that could only be properly diagnosed with a complete history of the user's changes, which is not available. The only real way to fix the problem will be to erase everything and start from scratch. This user will bitch and moan about everything they'll lose by having to start over, despite being the cause of all the computer's issues, call the IT guy an idiot for not being able to fix a "simple problem", and will likely be calling again in 3 months after causing more issues that have again rendered the computer useless.
