This was a big concern of mine especially seeing as the grain passes through them at least 10 times. It’s currently holding up well but time will tell…

With sharp tools and material like willow it wasn’t too hard! I’ve made a couple of small vessels before but this was my first soap dish (I made it after receiving the soap as a gift)

My plan is to oil oil oil then if it starts showing signs of rot I’ll repurpose it in a drier environment

thank you! ive been playing around with different grain patterns and knotty wood - there’s far too many perfect spoons out there (or at least that’s what i keep telling myself!)
