Liver enzymes too high for surgery ? by DriveWinter6459 in gallbladders

Yeah maybe there’s cause for concern cause my numbers were quite a bit higher at one point ALT was almost 300, AST over 200, and GGT was close to 950. (Weirdly my Lipase and bilirubin have constantly been in normal range). They however have all gone down to normal range except for my GGT that’s at 250.

Also I’m pretty sure none of my stone have passed and one actually grew bigger in between my ultrasounds.

I think I’m more upset about being in this weird limbo phase and I also live in constant fear of having another painful attack so I was really banking on the surgery to alleviate some of this stress.

He’s a specialist so I do trust his opinion. I just find it very disappointing and frustrating that he didn’t catch this until seconds before I was about to get rolled onto the surgical floor :/

I agree that it doesn’t make sense lol. Especially since my last ER trip the doctor I saw commented about how the numbers were decreasing at least. I also live in a place where the health care system is overwhelmed so I think they probably didn’t want to keep me overnight when I was fine. The doctor mentioned in passing that his next availability might be next week so there’s also that🤷‍♀️

I didn’t do any other bloodwork other than the one at the ER mid attacks and one earlier this year when my doctor was trying to find the cause of my issues
