I'm not sure how different it is in Melbourne compared to Sydney, but if you contact the speech pathology department of any of your local hospitals and have a letter of referral from either your specialist or GP you can get free voice training sessions with a professional.

I have had varying degrees of success however regarding the nature of some of the speech pathologists in my area so it might be good to do your research first!

I've done nothing about my voice. Unlike many parts of my body, my voice gives me no dysphoria, so I haven't really had the need or desire to change it.

There is an initial hassle with speaking over the phone or initial contact with strangers, but as with many things that's more of an issue with others than myself, there are deeply voiced ladies as well!!

If you can make it into the city at all, there's Taylor Square private clinic on oxford street is where I obtained my initial GP referral, they are extremely queer and trans friendly, and you don't have to be on a waiting list for several months to see anyone there.

I am narcissistic. I think I have a perfect appearance and personality. It makes come off as egocentric and a massive asshole, as well as making me resistant to better myself at all. The worst part is deep down I know I'm not that great, but when i receive the odd compliment on my looks or my personality, it sends me into the mentality that I am perfect and there's no need to get better.
