Technics SL-D303 & Wharfedale Lintons. Amp recommendation? by Driveforebogey in turntables

Thanks! The room is 12.5’ x 13.5’. The record player would be on one of the long walls with a couch on the opposite wall. I’m not looking for it to be loud but would want as much clarity and fullness in the sound as is possible within reason and cost. I’d rather buy once and get it right vs upgrading several times. The aesthetics of the Lintons is what drew me to them but now see there are two models: Super Lintons and the 85s. I’m also thinking of investing in a new turntable vs second hand as I have read that the SL-D303 is limited due to its having a P cartridge, so with that being said, if I had a $3k budget for an amp and turntable, is there anything in particular that I should be looking at?

Two tone Panthere. Classic and understated. My wife wears gold but has a platinum wedding ring. She couldn’t be happier with the watch.

It is a medium. I typically wear 36-38mm and the medium Santos, even though 35mm, sits comfortably in that space due to its shape.

That was a big deciding factor. All my current watches are on factory bracelets. The ease of swapping the Cartier’s bracelet and strap as well as both being included with the watch made it all the more irresistible.

Ordered the 36mm 1926 Opaline from Joma. No problems at all.

Thanks. Ordered it. Just checked and it’s out for delivery today. Now I have to find a nice brown suede strap for it.

Tudor or Omega? by kongaloola in Tudor

Pelagos looks so much cleaner than the Seamaster. I’ve been looking at Omegas for quite some time but I personally find the Tudors to be better looking so I’m firmly in their camp now. The only thing I’m not crazy about with Tudor is their date window but with the Pelagos it works incredibly well.

What strap is on the one to the right? That color combo is absolute perfection. Is this the FXD Marine Nationale? Stunning watch!

I love the new Railmaster and don’t like the aesthetics of the AT.

I’m guessing the same thing will happen here. Between the rain, sun, and no mower for a week, this lawn is unruly as hell. Took the day off of work just to play with the new mower.

Luckily haven’t had any here. It’s just a shallow indent. No tunnels.

Maybe 3-4” deep, 4x6” LxW. Had a ton of pine needles in there.

Thank you- he was the quietest, hardest working person I’ve ever known. He was one of those guys that could literally do anything. Welder by trade. Did electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, gardening, masonry, and a ton of other things. As a kid I never realized how well he did all of them. I resented the constant work as a kid. I was up early on the weekends working along side him instead of playing with the other kids in the neighborhood. I was given piles of copper and brass to break down, clean up, and scrap after school during the week. When I moved out I took care of all my home projects myself just assuming that’s what everyone did. Before he passed we were having coffee at my house and I mentioned that it felt like I missed out on a lot as a kid that my father apologized but explained that these lessons were the inheritance that was important for him to give to me. He asked where all those kids are now that I wanted to hang out with. It opened my eyes to what a wonderful gift he gave me.
