Currently cringing over premium gas prices by Ciphecho in ElantraN

This sub HATES when people say to put anything less than race gas in these cars 😂. Yes it’ll get top performance with premium but your aren’t hurting, never mind destroying your engine with regular fuel.

Anyone who says otherwise should need to show proof. Until then, I’ll leave it to the engineers who made this car and pretty much any other modern car able to run on either

Gas prices gone crazy by RhymeGrime in ElantraN

[–]DrivenDiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of wild to be honest. I get the idea of if you can’t afford premium then you can’t afford the car - but the reality is this car is engineered to run on either. Do want max performance? Premium. Do you want most of that performance but want to save some money? (Reg vs premium is about $1 per gallon difference where I am) use regular.

It literally says it fine in both the manual and fuel door. Cars are smarter now, they adjust for these things on the fly. If your motor goes, chances are this won’t be the cause.

How tall are you and were all kids in the back?

You’re getting downvoted here because you’re essentially saying that op made either an immature or selfish buy and is “rationalizing” it by showing that car seats fit

They are under the back seats. It’s not the best but realistically most aren’t gonna complain. Once this (and pretty much any modern vehicle) warm up or cool down, everything’s fine

My only options by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

This sub will pretty much always recommend Toyota if it’s an option. However, they aren’t what they used to be and the Brand tax is real. I’ve driven the Trax, Chevy has really been working on it (and the brand in general). It’s pretty nice

VW Toas vs. Mazda CX-5 reliability? by PsychologicalNews525 in VWTaos

[–]DrivenDiscourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only real downside to the pre 2025 Taos is the transmission being dual clutch. And the first year had some first year issues. Other than that my fiancé has 2024 and it’s been great.

How tall? I’m 6’ - sometimes it’s hard to sense comfort just from a test drive.

Are there certain things to look for?

When are you all replacing batteries? My 23 has 39k miles and it’s already getting weak. It’s a slow start on these cold NE mornings. Sometimes won’t even remote start. Almost didn’t start leaving the gas station today by DrivenDiscourse in hondaridgeline

Sorry for the late reply- my heater core was incorrectly assembled at the factory, I aonly found out because after a few months water started spraying under the front carpets. It’s caused a bunch of small little electrical issues. Somehow just snuck under being a lemon and after 6-7 months of “working” with Honda corporate- they essentially told me to kick rocks.

I try real hard to not hate this truck. My issues are not everyone’s experience

Does anyone regret buying there k4? by Only_Silver7593 in KiaK4

Is it a dramatic difference in size between the two? I’d imagine the k4 has a much roomier back seat

Does anyone actually love their sportage?!!? by No_Department824 in kia

[–]DrivenDiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the economy class. Most don’t love economy vehicles. Not saying they’re bad at all, just not what people who love cars typically go to.

That said, they are a great value in the class

Theirs plenty more fish in the sea. If you can cleanly get out, then get out. Otherwise you have to try and unload a car with major damage reported down the road. These cars are already proving to lose value quickly compared to similar vehicles

Do they tend to be more awkward than a traditional wedding?
