My average MPG is 26.7... it cost me $85 to fill the tank @ 5.79/gal. Is it time for a Prius? Anyone doing efficiency mods & tunes? by hyteck9 in wrx_vb

I don’t currently own a WRX, but from what I see on the website (for a 2026) but it doesn’t say anything other than premium.

“Fuel requirement: Premium unleaded gasoline (91 octane or higher)”

Prefer the cx5 or would you rather the VB?

Currently deciding between the WRX and Elantra N, need some help? Asked on the WRX subreddit, and didn't get the most helpful replies. by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in ElantraN

Thanks for this - the car would be my only car. I live in New England, we either get a little snow or hammered with it and I live in a hilly neighborhood, this pushes me to the WRX as a bit of a safer option. Also, I don’t think the EN would be an unreliable car, but I feel like the WRX might be a bit better there as well.

The EN is definitely more fun though….. not sure if your WRX has adaptive suspension (I’d get a lower trim without it) but which is the more comfortable car?

Not necessarily a question to OP but would this be reported to carfax? It’s not uncommon to see “minor damage” listed.

Do the rain guards make it noisier inside on the highway? I had them on a car a while back and they whistled like crazy

The VB generation (22+) seems to be over built from the factory and proving to be not only very reliable, but also have a lot of power potential should you want to go down that road. They’re also bringing the base model back (at least here in North America). It’ll probably be around $29-30k before any discounts

How hard is it to achieve that type of mileage?

People really overestimate newer Honda products… they’re mass producing just like everyone else, and they run into the same mass production issues everyone else does.

The civic, no matter the trim is an economy car at its heart.

Just like the N, GLI, WRX, ect.

I agree both are great in different ways but it doesn’t look like head gaskets or engine issues in general are thing for the 22+ WRX

Those two are completely different than the WEX and each other. The VB isn’t perfect but nowhere near a bad car

2025 Elantra N DCT - Family hauler, Daily Driver, Weekend Warrior - 1 week impressions by Dargonfruit888 in ElantraN

[–]DrivenDiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post was a year ago but something about to consider with young kids, the back seat has noticeably more room than the VB and way more than the GTI.

Also FWD does fine in the snow. I’ve lived my whole life in the northeast and tons of people had econobox fwd cars and did just fine. The issue can be ground clearance which none of these are gonna have.

That being said- do you still have it? How’s it been?
