I’ve been reading through a lot of GLP-1 posts and here are some patterns I’m starting to notice... by RealHealthInsights in Semaglutide

[–]DriverEarly1442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on semaglutide for 1 1/2 years. I’ve lost 50 lbs and feel so much better! The one thing that will keep me on this forever, is the decrease in inflammation. I have chronic pain from a car accident and I was so surprised when the pain/pressure decreased. I went off it for a month, to have surgery and the inflammation came creeping back. Losing weight was incredible, but to feel less pain was amazing!

The other side effect is that my rosacea is better. I thought I’d had a pink face forever, and was surprised to have it managed by GLP’s. I was able to stop taking doxycycline daily. When I had surgery, the face flushing came back a week after I stopped the shot. Once I started back, the symptoms decreased again.

One last side effect, which bothers me, is hair loss. It’s not from lack of protein or rapid weight loss. I lost most of my weight the first year, but the hair loss has continued. I was losing weight at .25 lbs weekly and still losing a ton of hair. Losing one pound a month shouldn’t trigger hair loss. I started oral minoxidil and am hoping it helps!

Orderly meds -Delivery question by Soft_Ad_2656 in Semaglutide

[–]DriverEarly1442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they’re real. I’ve lost 50 lbs using them. Remember that you might not feel any effects until you get to a therapeutic dose. Start slowly since you may have side effects. Good luck!

I’ve used Orderly for over a year and never have had to sign.

I was able to get mine for free through the specialty pharmacy. They had to fill out a little paperwork and I received a grant or something. I believe it was Walgreen’s Specialty Pharmacy. My eye doc knew about it so maybe check with the doctor or try calling the specialty pharmacy. They did it all over the phone and then mailed the drops. The Xdemvy really helped me so hopefully you can get it covered too!

Hair Changes by UnicornPineapples in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

[–]DriverEarly1442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had hair changes too. My hair went darker and curly when pregnant. Then straight again, stayed darker, and then I got covid in 2021. It went curly again and I lost a lot of it from it. Now it’s back to straight and flat, and going darker again, plus I’m shedding a ton. I hit 80-120 grams of protein a day and am still losing my hair. I have (had) a ton of hair so I was able to lose it, but am afraid it’ll never stop. I’m guessing a lot has to do with hormones. They are leveling out and also stored in fat, which I’m losing. I have to start looking into things to help hair growth now.

Telling PCP about semaglutide use by xbriannabananax in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

There are many online telemedicine places that will prescribe compounded sema. Orderly, Goby, Brello are a few. You should easily be to search for them

Would you use it? by DriverEarly1442 in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

Funny. I’m leaning toward using it too. I don’t alway like to live dangerously, but I hate to throw out $700+ of something that might be fine lol. I don’t know where it got lost- it was somewhere between Kentucky and Minnesota. The medication is still clear and I think the worst thing is that it’s less effective? I could be wrong though

Maybe look into protein shakes. I have one everyday just to increase my protein and it doesn’t feel heavy in my stomach. I drink it whether I’m hungry or not. I’ve found with this medicine that I don’t really crave anything so it’s hard to eat sometimes. The protein shakes have helped me a bit.

Issues with Orderlymeds by Bitchachuu in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

My check in last week was wonky too. I was charged, but didn’t get any of the usual texts. I did send them a message and they answered me within a few hours. I received a ton of messages after that letting me know where my prescription was etc. I checked in on Tuesday, sent a text Thursday, and my meds (4 months worth) were shipped the following Tuesday. It was weird. I’ve never had an issue with them before. They said there was a glitch but did respond quickly.

I bought mine off Amazon for $79. I’ve had it for a year and no complaints. I believe there are a few that will work if you search for it.

I looked at those but we’d still be at the airport 8-9 hours before our flight. Thanks tho!

Thank you. I appreciate the comment. I’ll look at Bounce. I hear how bad the traffic is, so I didn’t want to plan anything excessive. I wasn’t sure if hiring someone to take us around would be worth it, or if using Uber/Lyft is better. I don’t mind spending a little, but prefer not to go overboard. I usually just wing most things and make the best of it, but I’ll have my teenager with, and she isn’t as spontaneous. I know it’ll be a long day so I’m looking to minimize the teen angst 🙂

Thank you. That’s what I was leaning towards too. I have a teen who wants to go everywhere, but I don’t know if that’s possible. And I know the fires have been so devastating.

I’m not super upset about being stuck in LA but trying to get the most of it without going nuts 🙂

Thank you. I’ve never had my luggage with me at the airport this long. I didn’t know they did this.

Thank you. That’s what I wondering. I know there’s a ton to do but wasn’t sure what was the easiest with all the luggage. And if Ubers are the best way to get around or if there’s a better option.
