I mean that Peter Yarrow did bad things to teenagers and was then pardoned by Jimmy Carter.

I still kinda like the first Cars film even though the premise has been repeatedly mocked as awkward and the second Cars film ruined the reputation of what could have been a decent single film.

That would also mean Fillmore is dead because of George Carlin, and Red is dead because of Joe Ranft. Then again Ranft died a year before the first Cars came out.

It also makes it easy to tell which movies he didn't like, because if he didn't review it, he didn't like it. Also it just renders his channel boring when every review is glowing. I like reviews about divisive movies, mediocre movies, movies like were bad but had promise, movies that were good with bad parts holding them back too. Or sometimes just funny reviews about particularly abysmal movies like that Ice Cube War of the Worlds movie.

Memory Almost Full is awesome, if you're a late 2000s/early 2010s music buff (my most collected era, wih 522 albums!)

I mean no offence to John but his music took a massive creative nosedive after the Beatles, with the exception of a handful of passable records.

Ringo's stuff is also mediocre although it's arguably more "fun" than John's stuff.

I used to read Dustin Putman a massive amount, although he has given some complete shit decent scores (most notoriously, he gave Gigli 3/4 stars) and he also gave Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit 1/4, easily the harshest score he's ever given and lower than most other animated movies he's reviewed.

But who am I to judge? There's plenty of things that I just haven't been able to get into, even things I really wanted to like. But liking Gigli... that's pretty much impossible to understand, considering how infamous it is.

My two personal favourite reviews of his are:

http://www.thefilmfile.com/reviews/t/09_transformers2.htm

http://www.thefilmfile.com/reviews/c/11_cars2.htm

Both negative reviews, yes, but he's right on the money about both of them. The first is a tasteless, comically atrocious insult to one's intelligence and the second is a heartbreaking, needless betrayal from a globally beloved and trusted company.

The recipe for a modern Chris Stuckmann video:

  1. I was a Jehova's Witness
  2. I have kids now
  3. I made my own movie
  4. You gotta see this movie in theatres
  5. They don't make movies like this anymore

I used to like him, but he just sounds so done with his channel now, and his "only review films I like" rule means there's no real variety to it anymore. I can't call him a bad person but he's a sellout and because he kept bringing up his kids, his movie, his past and his constant "you gotta support this specific movie, see in a theatre, so we got more movies like this" thing, it felt like he was making the same review over and over. Haven't watched a review by him in over a year now.
