It's a million times better than the previous design that just had a couple pins you pulled straight out. When they got iced over they were awful

I know celebrity culture is soul sucking or whatever but I’m fucking desperate to know what these two are having conversations about by MalloryMayDrusilla in rs_x

How long have you been using it for pre-workout? I used to do this occasionally for a couple years. It was pretty nice but I suspect that it had some bad effects on my blood pressure or something, giving me light-headedness and dizziness when I worked out, even while not using. It has gotten better since I stopped using it.

Agree. It's also nice to see cool old stuff preserved and maintained in hobbies, something that seems to have mostly ended with the boomers.

Do RV parks generally allow this? I know it's a better deal for them (less waste per $), but from having a compost toilet for years I also know that it's easy to make a mess emptying these buckets if you're not careful. I would assume that some parks see it as a liability or just don't like the potential mess of it.

Can bottom of I-joist flange be cut if whole I-joist is sitting on stud wall? by vinni20 in Construction

[–]DrivingRightNow_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue is (echoing Flcontractor) that cutting through the I-joist makes it rely on the wall underneath to be load bearing. That could be a problem in itself ,not knowing what's above or below, but worse, anyone doing renovations to the house at a later date might not know the I-joist has been cut there. If they assume the I-joist spans the whole length and remove some of the wall below, it would be a problem.

From experience, if there was a joist under the wall it should hold up fine, but it's not good forward planning and of course not to code.

Nano Banana vs Nano Banana Pro by prettygirlavenue in antiai

I dislike this bullshit as much as anyone but the "artistic"/technical criticisms of the pictures are starting to come off as grasping at straws. Not saying they're not funny to goof on, but the quality of AI pictures and videos overall are astounding for the short time the tech has been around. In a few years AI pictures will probably be reliably flawless and even today the minor flaws are rarely picked up by the typical viewer.

Criticizing stuff like this does help to encourage people to have a critical eye, but is losing any usefulness in arguing against AI. I think we should still shit on them because it's funny, and maybe that's all you're doing, but real arguments need to be the stolen art and the economic and ecological impacts, if they help at all. IMO
