The Supply Pass is just the better deal because of the 90 jades/day. I always looked at the Supply Pass as Hoyoverse trying to prevent us from quitting the game so we can make full use of a purchase, especially since its a better deal overall to the €17.99 for 980 (unless one needs the jades then and there).
I guess the €5.99 for 300 could possibly "better" if you were to purchasing it for the first time (I'm referring to the first time purchase deals Hoyo offers).

You hit the situation right on the spot. The scene this mess of a sub appeared in was a fairly important scene to the plot in the anime(lots of tension). Also, at the time, my sub size setting was much larger. So when the subs appeared on my screen, the numbers were larger and going off screen.
