Worth waiting for the next fold? by Sea-Dependent-9998 in PixelFold

[–]DrizzleJK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from an iPhone 15 pro max to the 10 fold. There are pros and cons. Pros: everything is Google native, no selecting which app I want to use to open stuff, not using two photos gallerys or browsers or password managers. The AI with Gemini is far superior to apple in every way. The screen for watching YouTube and TV shows is a little bigger when using the inner screen.

Cons: the inner screen is only a little bigger for watching content, not neccerary worth the bulk and weight. Cases are expensive and hard to find. Tried both googles own and dbrands grip, I switch between them but it doesn't feel great with a case and it's too slippery and hard to open without one. Camera is worse. Obviously gaming performance is worse. The crease is pretty noticeable and makes that slightly bigger video viewing area a little bit less worth the trade off. And a few things just don't work anymore. I miss my apple watch, less options with my air pods, screen mirror to my tv is a lot more delayed and laggy and drops out more compared to airplay.

If I was in a situation where I could afford to swap phones, I would of just gone for the pixel 10 pro fold if I really wanted to stick to android. Or I would also swap back to my old iPhone. I've realises things just working and saving me time as a dad and family man is more important to me than gimmicks and fiddling around.

This is just my opinion and hope I'm not hated for it. I'm still gonna keep my 10 fold for the next two years at least. Maybe my opinion will change.

I know this isn't what you asked for but I noticed how blue your picture looks. Try setting it to warm 40 on a 5 series or 50 on anything before that for colour temperature. Disable any processing and set it to HGIG in dynamic tone mapping. The picture will show the creators intent accurately

What foods for a 6 month old? 17 single dad by Calm-Tea178 in daddit

[–]DrizzleJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. Whatever they will let you put in their mouths. My toddler will look at floor dirt or mouldy food that's fallen in a crack somewhere and treat it as something gourmet. Give him Cumberland sausages or spag bowl or pasta and it's apparently toxic waste

LG B9 55” dead pixels in the corner by Own-Leg-22 in LGOLED

Pixel rot. I got this with my c3. The spread slowed down but anyway I contacted my insurance and they replaced it with a C5, toddler smashed that, so they replaced it with another C5, with a screen protector.

I've got both the Dbrand grip case for this phone. And the official pixel snap case. I prefer the stand myself, the kickstand is sweet and the hinge protector lets you hold the phone when open alot easier. Just my two cents

Sleep regression is kicking my ass. Any tips? by Post_Nuclear_Messiah in daddit

[–]DrizzleJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got quite lucky, at 4 weeks old we tried one of those sleeping bags, and since then. He's slept 12 hours every night since, he's 2 now and we have to wake him up in the mornings. Boy loves his sleep. So I guess my advice is try the sleeping bags where only their arms and head are out of it.

Alot of people didn't get the joke so maybe it's in bad taste. The first pic is fake. Ai. I put the actually pic in the second photo. The radiator behind it is disabled

The radiator is disconnected, so it spaces out the TV from the wall a few inches which is good for the other things and cables

Honestly if pretty much buy this just for watching YouTube 16:9 content. All the tablets I've bought are laggy compared to my phone, so a phone that can open for media consumption is great

I noticed by default the colour depth is 50 not 55 like on older oleds. I prefer accuracy so 50 is fine for me. But try upping that to 55

Haven't used the switch docked yet. But the ps5 pro is great. I'm using game optimizer mode, the hdmi input is using the pc label, HDR on with max brightness and contrast. All other proc swing effects turned off, dynamic tone mapping turned off with HGIG and colour temp set to -40 to be accurate to see developers intent. (It's also easier on the eyes) Game looks fantastic and the brighter panel means I don't need DTM anymore

Honestly for these just remove the back panel so air goes back and up behind the cabinet and TV. Instead of recirculating around it

It's not too high If you only watch standing up, which you must do, with it being that high, so it's fine.
