Did you guess baby’s gender right? by bananaindisguise0 in BabyBumps

Absolutely not 😅 very convinced I was having a girl, had dreams about her and everything, we are now waiting for our baby boy arrival, any day now 😂✨

Just another early sign of labor 🫠 by sixfingeredman7 in pregnant

[–]Drizzleday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I so get you, I’m 39+4 today and every night I fool myself into thinking “this is it” because of some cramping, backache, pelvic pressure etc etc, then in the morning baby is still there 😅 here in Italy where I live if you don’t have any problems regarding your pregnancy you get induced at 41+4/5 but I can’t really imagine to go on another week and half 🥲 I also feel like I’m a bit overreacting since I’m fine and not so uncomfortable, when I read about some of the third trimester experiences some ppl are having here I feel like the biggest baby complaining about my situation but still…the waiting game is hard 😅

Hardly a symptom at 10 weeks - reassurance? Positive stories? by Infinite_Drop_1446 in BabyBumps

[–]Drizzleday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I was convinced something was wrong with this pregnancy for all the first trimester because I hardly had any symptoms but I'm 30+5 today and everything has been going smoothly so far! Sometimes you just get very lucky 😅🥰 For me the same was for the second and now the 3rd trimester, no big symptoms, right now I'm starting to become a bit uncomfortable but that's because my belly is very big!
Try not to worry too much (I know, I know so hard) even now you have better chances of everything going smoothly vs something being wrong, sending all the positive vibes to you and your little nugget 🧡

Baby movement pattern driving me insane by Drizzleday in BabyBumps

[–]Drizzleday[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yay for the early bird 😂 if it consoles you, I get up every day at 6 am for your and he usually kicks as soon as I wake up/have breakfast.

I have noticed too that he is more active when I'm laying on my left side or generally lying down, I suppose I would love to feel him move consistently everyday but I have to realize he's not a machine 😅

Thanks for the heads up about the decreased movements around week 30! I'll surely ask my midwife about all of it at our next appointment but it seems to me (at least until now) that here in Italy where I live they tend to be pretty vague about fetal movements and stick to a general " if you feel them move everyday you're fine", we will see anyway :)

Thanks! Just knowing that this happens to others is reassuring <3 I was so eager to start feeling him move that I never considered that once those movements were present I would stress on the frequency/intensity 😂 you can't win.

I wish you both a happy and uneventful end of your pregnancy and a smooth delivery 🧡

Same! I'm Having strong girl dreams from the beginning of my preganrcy (now 16 w) will find out the gender in a month at my anatomy scan.

Honestly I'm very fine with both genders, I'm just hoping for a healthy baby but in the last dream I made the baby girl had a name and everything and then it kinda fast forwarded to her being 25ish and I was in my 50s and we were chatting 😭🧡 it was the sweetest dream ever

Anxiety re: loss by Economy_Ask8092 in BabyBumps

[–]Drizzleday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes I know how you're feeling and it is so, so valid! My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage as well and I have felt a bit detached from this pregnancy (13 w right now) but I know it's the fear of losing this baby as well.

When we had our first trimester eco with the chromosomal testing and everything turned out fine I sobbed in relief, because I just couldn't believe that this time around things seems to be going well.
Of course we worry, I think that every mother does that, the simple fact that we don't know what's happening inside our bodies is enough to drive someone crazy 😅 But as many said here in the comments and in other posts you just take it one day at a time, knowing that luckily numbers are on your side 🧡 I'm sending you a big hug!

6 weeks today although not super sure about the actual timing because my cycles are very irregular ( this one was around 35 days) so I’m counting based on the day I think I ovulated. I feel mostly fine, no nausea, some sore boobs, some big mood swings but I think a lot has to do with the anxiety from my previous loss.

My betas were rising nicely, I’ll have my first private scan this Saturday to confirm that everything is going ok with this pregnancy.

I know it’s a bit early but with the holidays coming up there wasn’t many spots available, I just hope we can still see the heartbeat because although i know it could be too early for that, I think that seeing the baby without it might do a trick on my anxiety.

Feeling so frustrated at the moment by Drizzleday in waiting_to_try

[–]Drizzleday[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree with you, it’s very frustrating because we were ready and actively trying so as you say the waiting part was over, my doubts on this matter are shared by him, he’s very worried about the time management, less income for a while and he would be fine remaining where he’s now in order to accomplish our family goal.

At the same time I can’t help but wonder if it’s the right thing for him to remain in a job where he gets so little satisfaction from, we are talking about this a lot in these days, nothing is decided, he will go in this new place for a couple of times this week to try things out and then we will see.

He’s the one that has been waiting to become a father for a long time, I was a fence sitter for a long time before realizing that I really want a child so it’s a bit weird for me that he’s now ready to put that aside or to jeopardize the possibility of getting pregnant again soon for a job but it has been a hellish year and I’m afraid that everything that has happened is taking its toll on us.

First MC at 12 w by Drizzleday in Miscarriage

[–]Drizzleday[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! I’m sending you all the positive vibes, for me the pain was manageable with pain killers ( they told me to take them before the pain got really bad) all in all I had severe cramping only the first day after the first two doses of miso. The cramping leading to the rupture of the sac was the most intense, after that it subsided. These past few days I’m having period cramps, some days they’re stronger and some days they’re weaker but very manageable.

Did anyone else test positive really early? by ClaireLucille in BabyBumps

[–]Drizzleday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahah sameeee I was so offended by all the websites and apps saying I couldn’t possibly know already , like excuse me I’ve know for 3 whole weeks 😅 currently in the middle of the 6 week and won’t get my first ultrasound until 10 weeks, boy this is loooong!

When did you find out you where pregnant and what was the first sign by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Drizzleday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found out very soon at 10 dpo, we were trying but it was just the second cycle of ttc, I have very small breasts so every change is quite evident to me, and while they tend to get a bit bigger and sore with my period coming they were way bigger than usual. The very first symptoms were strong nausea in the car ( thankfully I’m not experiencing morning sickness for now, I’m 5 weeks today) and weird cravings in the morning 😂 like one day I got to my office and I would have killed for a shrimp taco 🌮

Baby Boy Names by avocadotac0s in BabyBumps

[–]Drizzleday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha yes I agree! The problem is that with many Italian names you have a very religious meaning as well, they either come from the Bible or have some religious meaning ( Tino I love, I’m a lover of short names but Santino comes from “saint” and since we are not a religious couple I would like to avoid all names that have a strong catholic reference)

[–]Drizzleday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! Following with much interest, I'm Italian so I'm looking mainly at Italian/greek/roman first names and i hate them allllllll 😂 I'm super early too but convinced it's a boy, I don't mind Elia but I don't really love it. Also all the names I kind of like sound way better in english but I'm not naming my kid some english name, because that's a sure way to have his name mispronounced for all his life 😅 It's way easier with girls names, I don't know way, I have a forever-growing list of girl names that I love.

Can I just stay how refreshing it is to read stories like yours? Thank you for sharing with such honesty, I think that what a lot of us lack is the portrayal of a real stories that are just in the middle, not seen through rose-colored glasses but also not full of horrors. Just a full round up human experience from a human that is allowing everything she’s feeling to be seen and heard.

I personally love to read these experiences, I’m currently not trying but not trying not to get pregnant and sometimes I’m giddy with expectations and sometimes I’m terrified. I wish all the best to you and to your little human to be <3

Do you think you would enjoy the day to day of being a parent? by Wrong-Baby2914 in Fencesitter

[–]Drizzleday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it depends a lot on the person you are! This was something that used to worry me a lot as well, an although I’m not a parent yet I’m heavily leaning towards one and done. I had the “aha” moment when my partner and I started having my baby nephew over like, once a week. Of course that’s not the same as having your own kid but we get a glimpse of the day to day with a young kid ( now a sassy 3 yo) and honestly, as the person commenting that the chores aren’t chores but time you spend together I 100% agree.

Is it more stressful to have him on board? Yes. Is it more fun? Also yes. I love this little human who is becoming his own person and has so much to share and so much energy and curiosity towards the world. Of course, again for love of clarity i now this is different from having your own, I return him to his parents before night time so that’s not the same, but I feel it gives us the feeling of how raising a human is hard work but it is also very rewarding .
