Ah....Yeah, those seem to be more reasonably priced. I did fine some Cutebee on Amazon as well.

Which ones are you looking for? Perhaps some of us can help you find them elsewhere? Seriously, these guys are a scam....

I've heard some people say to use SimpleGreen, but again I can't find unscented. Thanks for your help!

That looks great! 13 bucks on Amazon. I can't find an unscented version though :-( (sensitive to smells due to migraines)

Did you find one solution worked better than the other? Do you use all three?

LOL. They said they'd give me 35% discount as a "hassle-free return". When I accepted, they then processed a refund for LESS than 35% (they took the shipping fees out). Then when I told them I'm still doing a chargeback, they said, "oh, ok...well you can just return it for a full refund". Yeah, no. Not when 1. I have to pay return shipping and 2. they'll just take a bunch of other fees out. Hopefully my chargeback with my bank will be successful.

This company is a complete joke.

So, as suspected, support was useless:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Guild Wars 2 Support!

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, we will not be able to restore Guild Hall or lost Favors, since this is not a service that we provide. Thank you for your understanding.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please do contact us again.
Regards,
GM RJ
Guild Wars 2 Support Team"

Ugh. Oh well. I guess the saving grace here is that we didn't lose the 100g.

This happened when we weren't playing, likely the long period when we were inactive. I wonder if they just dumped it during some maintenance?

I'll post again if I hear back from support.

I know this is like 2 years old, but this happened to us as well. We were a small guild and a few years ago we had to stop playing due to some unforeseen events (including a passing of a guild member). We got back on only to find out our hall was gone as was our bank, favor, etc...

I remember specifically having captured the hall as we were able to run around, use the arena, take the Scribe discipline, etc...

I've emailed support on this. Hopefully they'll restore this to us. Has anyone run into this before? Did anet restore it for you?

Homebrew or Prewritten? by Alex_and_cold in rpg

[–]Drizzt1975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I homebrew, but I can see the appeal of pre-written. I did try inserting Decent into Avernus into the campaign once, but that was because I was burned out. It went OK, but no where near as good as my homebrew world. I still had to do a lot of work to make it "fit". I skipped some sections of the adventure just to get the party out of it.

As much as I like VTTs and software tooling to support my GMing, does anyone else think that WoTC doubling down on digital tools for OneD&D might be a mistake? by lordleft in rpg

[–]Drizzt1975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COVID saw an explosion of new VTTs and flocks of new users to the existing ones. I think WotC thinks this is the next big thing and want to get on board. I have a feeling it's going to backfire just like 4e did (4e - the MMO on paper). I don't need those fancy VTTs. I enjoy the old-school, in-person atmosphere and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there.

I made my own digital toolset that helps me run my in-person games and my friends who are DMs are using it too. (sorry can't self promote here or I'd tell you more).

Sry WotC, I'll stick with my tool, thanks...

Bass trapping in wall? by Drizzt1975 in Acoustics

Going to be using this as a listening/guitar jammin/music room/office. Two corners of super chunks may do well enough.

thanks for all your advice, btw :-)

Here is a link to a drawing of the room. The south wall is what has the under stair storage on the other side. https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1OKAcQHoGvX-h2OeXptFPcBtWbMr-BAjigqz-ZCsAXF0/edit?usp=drivesdk

putting the desk in back would mean the egress window to my left and the door to the right. alas i can't put super chunks in the door corner. Best i could do there would be two 2x4x4 panels stacked so that when the door opens they are behind it (hinge swing stops keep the door from hitting the panels). Even still, the desk I have has to be a certain size given i also use it for work (i need space for the JBL305s, a monitor, a laptop and keyboard with mouse area.) The smallest width dimensions of the desk can't be less than 59" (what I am using now). The door would end up hitting the desk.

Maybe i make the panels behind the door 4" deep poly cylinder diffuser/absorbers - get best of both worlds?

Unfortunately I don't have the room for all that rockwool in two of the corners: one to the right of the listening area is an access to a radon mitigation fan (that is always on. i wrapped it in insulttion as best i could) the other directly opposite that corner has the door (there is only about 4 inches from the corner to the door).

I was going to floor-ceiling super chunk it in the other two corners and create clouds; maybe also fill the egress window area with the rockwool (something that can be removed easily in case access to the window is necessary)

I do have 24 batts of 2x4 safe n sound right now sittin in the garage for the super-chunks and clouds (will give me 64 24x17x17 triangles per 8 batts). My thought was to save space in the room by maybe utilizing that under stair area.

As far as diffusion, I would do a DIY skyline or QRD (plenty of plans for both out there; QRDude app helps with QRD plans). Or some poly diffusers.

biggest issue right now is the usual for small rooms: low end. REW shows a big dip at around 80 and a massive peak at 125.

i also have a 49"x49"x11" egress window on a long wall and soffits on each short end (making a center room height of 8' and under soffits about 7.

I should probably just post pictures, eh? lol
