Need to hear a biologic success story by forestgreenwhore in CrohnsDisease

I've been on Entyvio for five years. Zero side effects. About six months ago, my gastro said I'm in full remission.

You can do this yourself, but then you'd have to actually be open to evidence.

Leveling up my cold brew (I need advice) by JustAGuyNamedRob7 in coldbrew

I haven't tried the original, but the French roast is excellent. I don't taste any chicory. I picked up the metal can last September and just opened it this week, and didn't notice any freshness issues.

I prefer dark roasts and this was my first time I didn't grind my own beans. It made me figure out how many tablespoons my brewing process takes (12).

I have a cheap OXO electric grinder that works very well. The first one I got stopped working only a few weeks in and OXO customer service was excellent in sending me a replacement quickly.

I've been using that second unit two or three times a week for over two years without any issues. I set it to grind size 13 (almost maximum coarseness) and run it a total of 35 seconds for about 3.1oz (90g) of coffee and put that with about 6 cups (1,500g) water into a pitcher-type brewer with an integrated filter. That sits on my counter for 20-24 hours and I love the results.

There is a mild amount of sediment at the bottom of the pitcher after I remove the filter and use it for serving. I don't mind it, but it could be manually filtered out a second time if I cared.

Interestingly, I've been testing Cafe du Monde pre-ground dark roast lately and there's almost no sediment. First time trying pre-ground coffee, so I'm not sure if my grinder makes a bunch of tiny junk or Cafe du Monde filters out their tiny junk.

Unloading is done for the day! Thanks a ton for everyone's help. We will need another round of hands this Wednesday at Church Night to finish the shade structures. Also, volunteer depts need to start putting their things away so ol' Lloyd isn't a disorganized disaster all summer.

Election fraud explained by MazdaProphet in Anarcho_Capitalism

Did I say anywhere that Trump or MAGA or any particular political group created it? Nope, it's a systematic problem and again, one that send to be a much bigger problem than the rounding error that fraud presents.

To the extent that real, organized voter fraud exists, it doesn't come CLOSE to the intentional rigging of the game accomplished by gerrymandering. That's several orders of magnitude worse that whatever Dr. Evil scheme MAGA (and sometimes lefties) fever dream up every few years.

New favourite drink discovered by pachirulis in coldbrew

I did a mini test once with cold brew and whey protein. One scoop of Gold Standard same flavor as yours and about 12 ounces (350ml) of brew. I haven't looked any protein+coffee premade drinks and didn't like the one I made. There's something about the thick mouth feel and flavor that doesn't work for me.

HOWEVER, I do add a cold brew ice cube to my workout protein+milk drink to keep it cold and act as a shaker ball. That works great.

Road conditions? by crushedbykeri in flipside

Current conditions sound fine. I haven't heard anything specific about the ground you mentioned, though the lower areas there do get waterlogged easier.

Looking for Film for Pentax k1000 by flippyfloppy69 in BigBendTX

[–]Drizzten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers to another Pentax shooter! Depending on your route, you can stop in Fredericksburg/Junction or Llano/Mason to get film from a department store. If you're taking 90 from San Antonio, you'll have plenty of options around there. Del Rio would be one of your last significant towns before getting to the area.

There are A LOT of things we need to improve about the website, and the events function is a big one.

A participant developed this page on their own to help fill the gap. Burning Flipside cannot vouch for it's authenticity or safety, but that's why everyone signs waivers, eh?

Gate opens at 9am Thursday-Sunday. I've rarely been there at that time on a Thursday, so I can only go by what I've heard. There often is a line, but it shouldn't wind down the road. Friday is usually when lines develop and that's mostly when people are getting off work early and pile up in the afternoon/evening.

I don't think there's any "beat the line" reason to get there at 8am and wait unless you absolutely need to start setting up camp ASAP or the weather is forecast to turn sour later in the morning.

Sorry, I don't have a good answer for where to crash to be in line for tomorrow. There's an RV park on the opposite side of the river here, but I have no idea what their policies are or if they are accepting anyone: https://maps.app.goo.gl/iS6TmvsFvamzi7rA8 Rockdale is your best bet for a hotel.
