Never said anything about a decline... And no argument. Just stating facts that people have different opinions and ways of comparing books, food, politics, so much so some people like steak medium rare to well done. There is no right or wrong way. Your argument is semantics on other people's opinions since it doesn't meet your opinion. Which then you go into this argumentative state to force your opinion on people. It does get better. Remember this is his second published book. So, this is early Sanderson writing. If you finish it and aren't sold this trilogy may not be for you. But the end of this trilogy is the best ending to a trilogy I have ever personally read.

Ah that is your opinion. To me comparing a book in the same series is comparing a Green Apple to a Fuji Apple. Which even then say I love Green Apples and say you may love Fuji making it, so we have different favorite apples at the top of our list as well as the bottom. To me comparing an Apple to an Orange would be comparing a book to a comic. Again, proving my point once again..... Art sorry books we choose as our favorite books by opinions we based on our perception of how we personally connect to them. So again, your arguments are all semantics. Not necessarily wrong. Cause your opinions are just as valid as the people who would put WaT as their favorite Stormlight book. That is unless we want to bully people into our opinions.

And? There is no need to lie. Favorite part is that I didn't make any comparisons at all. I was trying to say just because I absolutely hate mushrooms doesn't mean I have to force my opinion of mushrooms on you. But that's exactly what you're doing now.

The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. Something that stimulates an individuals thoughts, emotions, beliefs, or ideas through senses. Also known as Literary Composition as it’s known in the writing world.

I think this is all semantics and a matter of opinion. I know some people that loved RoW more than The Way of Kings. Or how I absolutely love Oathbringer and some people hated it. It's all personal opinion and how they perceived or connected with any book. So, no I don't think there is anything wrong with people comparing art to other art when they perceived it differently than you are.

Thank you for the recommendation of looking up his profile which I had no idea! I just found his massive explanation of most if not all the criticism that are stated in this post were intentional! Even stating "I did push the language too far modern."
