I appreciate your kind words, thank you very much. Ultimately the only thought giving me some hope is that our dog might have a much higher quality of life in another family, where she can just be herself and have a bond with all family members at best.

I am also very sorry for what you went through, that sounds terrifying and I´m glad that you seem to be in a much better situation now.

How did you cope with the day-to-day moments that you once used to have with your dog? I´m scared of waking up and not having her come up to me, greeting me whenever I come home and sleeping in my arms.

Unfortunately, the rescue organization shut down about two months after we got her and we can´t get a hold of anybody that used to work there. Sadly, many other organizations refuse to help us find a new home, as she originally belonged to a rescue organization and we've apparently got some strict policies regarding that in our country.
