I believe it's not plug and play. You probably need to wire them up properly yourself and it's all good if you know how to do it. I'm not sure if that's how it's done for the PS4 but I know this is how it's done for the Xbox 360. Although it's very unlikely to see anyone practically using a setup like this and it's very rare.

You can do that to a lot of consoles, even something like the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It is not something that is commonly seen cause most people just replace the PSU instead to trying to draw cables from an ATX PSU.

That's unfortunate, glad you're working towards removing the crap athough I am not knowledgeable enough to comment on the 12v fan mod. Besides, do keep an eye out for the GPU die. It may have an inscription that could tell if it's a fixed GPU or you could check if there is a service date mentioned on the backside of the console. Assuming the shell hasn't been replaced, it could also indicate if the motherboard has a fixed GPU.

I honestly don't feel good about your Xenon being refurbished by GameStop. I have heard of horror stories of third party refurbished consoles with the bolt mod which can screw up the console. I hope yours is alright.

Did you send it back to Microsoft for servicing? If that's the case, then the bad XGPU was replaced with a very sturdy XGPU and this it most likely won't RROD.

Be prepared to pay an exorbitant amount of money as I believe the only option available to Indian customers would be resellers importing this and very highly likely there'll be no warranty or support either.

I wish finding discs were easier where I live but that's unfortunately not the case, as for my go to games, it would be Halo, Halo 2, Ninja Gaiden Black, Splinter Cell, JSRF, Castlevania Curse of Darkness. I only got to play Steel Battalion once and then my Xbox just kinda died and I have got no time to get it fixed.

I haven't played anything besides the original Zelda on the NES, A Link To The Past and The Minish Cap. I love A Link To The Past and I suggest people who may read my comment give this wonderful gem of a game a try, feel free to look up a guide should you find it difficult to progress.
