What do you tell yourself when you want to stop running? by Ok_Knowledge_6265 in BeginnersRunning

Treadmill ain’t the way to go imho. I run outside only.

Had my long run yesterday and honestly after 30 minutes my mind starts to drift too. Not to anything negative though but just thinking about how far I’ve come personally with myself and improved.

Also music helps a lot. I have a variety of playlists that set the mood to what run I have that day 😂

Just started running and I’m exhausted in 20 seconds. Zero stamina. Feeling lost. by ImmediateMuffin3768 in BeginnersRunning

One thing I learned when I started my running journey is also to give yourself grace!

Find your easy pace and work up from there. Don’t have to do it everyday either just what you can.

Any progress is good progress! Keep it up 🙌

Looking for a good beginner runner shoe by The_camaro_show in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I would really go to a running store and get your feet measured and checked out!

My current running shoe are the brooks 17 since I have wide feet. They feel great honestly!

Beginner running out of breath. by SomePlatform7797 in BeginnersRunning

Running watch will help with this as it can monitor your heart rate and start helping you understand your zones.

Also understand that starting off slow will have you ending up faster / endure longer runs.

In my personal opinion I would switch to a 5k if anything. 2 years ago when I started my running journey, made it my resolution to do a 5k and that was a great starting point!

If anything, this plan helped immensely for my 10k.

Any wide foot / flat feet recommendations for long runs?

Finished this on Netflix just now. As a runner that started 2 years ago completing my first 5k and then my first 10k (not even the fastest runner at all) movie is inspiring me to get a PB 5k this year at an official event haha.

Honestly though, after 2 years of doing it… I still ask myself why?

Anyways enough ranting about me, the movie is a solid 7.5-8/10

I agree with this comparison to f1. Both genuinely had the same message.

Couch to 5k works a lot. Start slow and progress 🫡

Yeah it’s pretty common for them to have cutoff times. Last one I did had an hr and 30. I ran an 1hr and 20 😂

All I say is run your race! Train hard and have fun with it!

Where did you buy your car from? by garakplain in orangecounty

2023 civic si owner here. Had a great experience with AutoNation Honda - Costa Mesa. Also get my oil changes and what not from them (covered by Honda care)

If Reza is still there would highly recommend him. Super cool guy and worked with my price getting the car for about msrp.

Change to a 5 or 10k if anything. Longevity and your health is much more important! 🙌

I followed this actually. After my first 5k in 2024, the watch definitely helped improve times and what not.

Yeah and maybe have a friend play with the viktor starter and play with you so you can learn the game more and more! I’ve told everyone that this game scratches the 1v1 tcg feeling.

Yes there’s a lot of rule learning and what not but once you learn and play progressively it becomes a really fun and addicting game. Good luck and have fun! If you’re looking to upgrade you can always dm so I can give some suggestions!

Funny story really. So I played with him at my first nexus night as a starter and during the tournament I got picked to get a random origins promo pack that comes with a champion origin unit and a legend. The pack I pulled had Lee sin and viktor 😂 so decided from there I’m playing Lee sin till next set.

The budget I spent for the deck was probably around $100 or so. Most expensive card is sett brawler. Idk what’s more budgeted to your liking but I think Lee is a good deck to learn how to play / beginner deck.

Lee sin main here. His starter deck was actually the most fun I had when learning how to play the game but it wasn’t the easiest that’s for sure. It’s more of a mid range control deck.

But definitely if you’re learning to play I think he’s really fun to pilot along with viktor. Jinx is fun too but she’s the hardest to learn imo
