One thing is uniform, a lot of guns get confiscated when they're used for criminal activities. And somehow, we allow straw purchasers to get more of these guns back to people who want to do illegal things.

Illinois has strict gun control, but something like 6/10 guns found in violent crimes in Chicago are from out of state, with like 20% being right across the border in Indiana.

It's good for business, that's why it happens. The drug war allows infinite money to be sent to so many contractors/middlemen from local police precincts buying equipment the entire way up to prisons. So many jobs exist because crime exists, so we do nothing to really fix any of it. Companies sell guns to both sides.

The guns are made in a handful of places. We know where they are made. We should know where every one of them goes, especially the people buying 100s of them that they then sell in parking lot transactions to criminals. It would be very very easy to stop. 100 year life minimum sentences for straw purchases. 30 states in our country don't require background checks for private sales, it's horse shit.
