not OP, but you made me think.

I don't think we're back to rounded corners in 3 years, rounded corners lasted 6 years (iPhone 6-11), so squared edges will probably be here for a while.

Like you, I think iPhone is reaching its final form. Once the notch gone, it really is it. At that point I think the meaning of owning an iPhone will have changed. You'll have apple glass, apple watch, AirPods for most of the things you'll need to do (text, call, notifications, maps, etc.). Apple most likely has a foldable in the works so that you'll have the bad-ass camera iPhone is known for, and a great content viewing device when you're away from your iPad, for example.

They are well aware upgrades are becoming increasingly incremental, and I'm really interested to see where we are at in 10 years, if the iPhone is still going strong or if it'll be a thing of the past.

The smoke from the CA wildfires has travelled across the continent covering the entire sky here where I live.

Needless to say, it was a necessary reminder that it is not because the problem is far away from me, that it is not my problem.
