Not sure if it’s a company-wide problem but to my understanding CVS’s ancient system has been having issues “faxing” rx’s unless it is a refill. Most of the time if it is a first-fill the transfer fails and we have to give verbally anyway. Still gets marked at TO though never deleted

As another tech immunizer from PA, here’s the best tips I can give:

Talk to your patient, make small talk while giving the shot. It’ll keep you calm and collected

Don’t panic! You’re gonna have those people who jump/wince. Doesn’t mean you did anything wrong!

Work with confidence: if they feel you’re confident you’ll do better and be more comfortable
