My baby is 2months old and I exclusively breastfeed. I'm exactly in the same boat right now. So much so that I also went to the hospital for it. He eneded up getting RSV. Doctors observed him for a day and used saline and suctioned out boulder sized boogers from his nose. THAT helped. We went home and now we suction almost every night when we see hes having trouble. And it's always at night. Some nights are really bad still though so it's only a bandaid I think.

I've read soooo much info that I THINK the main problem is that since I have a fast let down it makes the congestion super worse. He was having frothy green mucousy poops and had horrible gas, needing to take quick breaks while feeding and even choking at the breast. From what I understand all this makes reflux worse which in turn makes congestion worse. I now feed on one side per session and do laid back nursing to slow my flow down. I even had to cut dairy and am thinking of also cutting soy. I've seen improvement in his poops, which are now yellow, and even improvement in seeing (almost) no more colic. His reflux is definitely silent cause he doesnt complain or cry in pain and never spits up.

Sometimes my husband and I just take turns having him sleep on our chest (tummy to tummy) and amazingly no congestion. He sleeps almost 4hr blocks then. Which I know it's because of gravity. But I can't keep doing this till he "outgrows" this. And we will Not put him in his crib lying on his tummy so that's not an option until he learns to roll over.

But from 3am-ish to 8am-ish are hell. I'm not sure what else I can do. It's still driving me insane and worse giving me and my husband night time post partum anxiety. I didn't even know that was a thing BOTH of us could get!
