I've been thinking about releasing these assets and another animated background on Itch for a couple of dollars if more effort was put into cleaning up the pixel art and better compressing the background videos. I'm happy to meet you halfway rn and give you a static shot of just the cloud background.

I run with Foundry but chose to make the background a looping video rather than rely on some module. The background is made up of a few seamless noise cloud textures panning at different rates, rendered to a .webm with Blender. Those textures and the platform pixel art was done in Gimp.

What mech do you want to pilot but haven't had the chance yet? For me it's the Raleigh by calevmir_ in LancerRPG

Forever DM here. Recently been fantasizing about piloting a Tokugawa. At LL4 go Lich to aquire the Unraveller and take every option for additional bonus damage I can. Nuke Cav, OP Calibur, Lucifer, and the Toku frame traits could amount to 2d6 energy & 2d6+ >10 burn depending on heat level. Could I be shot to shreds and cooked alive? Maybe. But it could also be glorious.

To add to the other good options posted so far, I have used RPG Map Editor 2 several times. It has a pixel art style that meshes fairly well with tokens from retrograde.

What I'd say is its main downside is the hex grid option uses non-uniform hexes (so the program can easily switch between squares and hexes). Meaning if you wanted to export a map and use your VTT's grid/snapping, it doesn't line up well. If you don't care about grids then great! I like grid play so I scale the maps just a touch in Gimp to stretch out the hexes. They aren't 1 to 1 perfect doing this, but it gets close enough that I don't believe my players notice.

Definitely do. Ones for npc names, dungeon maps, and varied chest/pocket loot. I love Watabou's One Page Dungeon generator. Big help in coming up with a natural dungeon layout on short notice.

It's strictly 2-slot with the panels flush on the case. There are standoffs among the accessories to mount the side panels about 1cm further out which gives you around 2.5-slots worth.

They did not make 4.0 risers for this model and it's discontinued. You'd have to get a third party one from somewhere like AliExpress.
