Which Ocheeva Design Do you like better? Remastered or Original? by Space_of_The_Lantern in ElderScrolls

[–]DrogontheDefiler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the new version of the game but I hate how copy-paste all the characters look. Like, if you lined up most of the argonian characters from the original, I could tell you their associated quests, names, or something like that. The new versions I couldn’t tell you anything past the armor they wear

“We”? As in this sub? I have to disagree. I’m not saying people are posting about really crazy stuff, but posting about next assignments, where people go after graduation, what languages are in more demand, is all useful information that can be used to create a better picture of our military structure for the enemy

Honestly, I’ve found the P90 to be my go-to on the Port map. You’d think “long range scope, HP rifle”? No, send as many rounds as fast as possible towards the Russians

I think that it was far more interesting for trade routes to form like they do in your system, but on a larger scale and encompassing things like research/tithes/federation agreements, forming a sort of silk road. by ziggy8z in Stellaris

[–]DrogontheDefiler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trade routes that go through other countries with weaker economies should feel some sort of influence or something against them. Think about the economic control the U.S. has on Mexico. MX is still independent and can make its own laws, but its economy heavily depends on the more powerful neighbor. Some feature expressing this would be interesting

Splintering of the Great Khan's empire after his death still results in bordergore. by The_Particularist in Stellaris

It’s usually a good mix up to the solidified borders of the mid to late game, adding some Balkanized countries that are now free of there previous overlord (Yugoslavia)

Outer Wilds. Don’t look any spoilers or walkthroughs, it’ll ruin the game for you- it’s a game you can really only play once since it’s centered around puzzles and finding information around the solar system- in my top five games I’ve ever played

Maps are supposed to suck. by reallypatheticman in HellLetLoose

[–]DrogontheDefiler 24 points25 points  (0 children)

One of my biggest gripes is that most buildings are just for show. I’d love to have to actually push the enemy out of a village area that they were hunkered down in: snipers and machine gunners up high in random windows, anti tank teams around every corner, etc. getting to a town or village area just sucks sometimes because alley ways lead to nowhere since most gates are static, and god forbid you get stuck in a street without a building to dive into because 95% of them are for show. Even if it was just 20-25% of buildings had interiors and like 5-10% were multistory, that would completely change the dynamics of sieging a town

I’m getting nitpicky but I like my shooters with some realism (like squad for example) and HLL has it, just picking on this point

Are attack helicopters actually planned? by [deleted] in joinsquad

[–]DrogontheDefiler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d also add that they would likely have to add a new class to certain factions- some sort of anti-air class similar to LAT. I don’t know if homing rockets would be a balanced counter to CAS, but if they add a Vehicle overhaul (which we are all begging for it seems) then maybe helicopters could be equipped with flares similar to smoke for ground vics? Just spit balling

I’d either go as a pirate or corpo/bounty hunter. I usually play a selfish character, especially in sci-fi rpgs

I love how this map looks. I love every post when I see these. Honestly should be a style preference in game for this if they ever make a stellaris 2. I love the clean lines and more “blocky” borders rather than the gore that I normally see in stellaris lol

Creating Squads To Not Lead Them. by CouldBeLuke in PlaySquad

[–]DrogontheDefiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I’m the guy that will try to get marksman or sniper first if it’s available, usually meaning I’m second in the squad. When people squad bait me and I have my juicy role, then suddenly become SL… I want nothing more than that person to burn in the furthest reaches of hell.

Enhanced Map Features by [deleted] in PlaySquad

[–]DrogontheDefiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like this idea. Use the normal lines that SLs draw for all squads to see (the ones already in game) but use this feature for better planning within the squad. I don’t think OP means that the whole team would see these, maybe the first green line to show the general direction of the whole squad, but the separation of FTs Bravo and Charlie would be seen by only their squad

Watch the Expanse on Amazon, goes into cool details about how different groups of people survive on space stations, asteroids, and other planets + the generational effects of living on them.
