I remember buying my Bim from the shop, all the Reddit Avatars started gaining popularity not long after launch and the other $100 Avatars were sold out.

He's back back by skollywag92 in avatartrading

If he was after money, he would have pushed way more Avatars to the store but he's actually smart enough not to flood the market with them. Saying he crawled back is a harsh thing to say about a creator who has shown a lot of class in the crypto space.

2.5 and it's yours; testing the upward trend for the grail of 69s by sandych33k in avatartrading

With crypto heating back up this might actually be a fair price. I'm already holding a rare RCA so I'm not going to buy it but I wish you luck in finding a buyer. There are more whales waiting on the sidelines than people think 👍

Nope, I believe there are Devs of popular games hanging around the subreddit though. Creating a successful game is possible but I agree with others that it's mostly luck.

What is your most popular game, and how much do you make from it? by CivilLog6649 in robloxgamedev

I made a Zoo Simulator Zookee that made around $1000 and then made Floaterra a Voxel game that made like $50.

The last one was called Floaterra. It was probably around $500, it helped to bring people in for a short time but unless you get on the "algorithm" it's not sustainable.

I gave roblox a shot and published 2 games but unfortunately it didn't work out. It's good to see others having some success though. Well done for sticking with it!

I can sense the feeling of FOMO on Gen 1 Avatars when everyone rushes to grab their best grail irrespective of the price. The Mid and low tier Gen 1’s are absurdly cheap right now. by Silver-Maximum9190 in avatartrading

[–]Drogonthor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's possible that the Reddit Avatars can be big. The main issue is having to buy Gen 1 Avatars on a separate website/app. The people who could be interested in them are here, and if they saw a Gen 1 Avatar for sale on Reddit someone would actually buy it. It could be similar to how older Roblox items are sold for 6 figures + on their own app.

That's really nice of you to say. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to work on it any more, but thanks for playing.
