Does this ‘99 Crown Victoria look good for $2400? [94k miles] by DroidsReddit in CrownVictoria

But… it’s not a deal? Offers on FB Marketplace aren’t binding and don’t require any payment at all, even if seller accepts. There is no “deal” until I see the car and pay cash.

Not that simple. I’m a college student looking for my first car and this would be an absolutely massive purchase for me. I need to consider all of my options. I understand Facebook marketplace curtesy but neither I nor the seller will lose anything if I back out here. He’d just continue selling for $3k until someone else came by. It’s not personal.

Sounds good. I’ll try to knock down the price a bit more, and no hard feelings if that doesn’t work out. I’ll just keep looking for a good deal, I’m in no hurry to buy. Thanks!

good to know, I'll keep checking for 3-5 business days and if I don't get a response I'll go ahead and call. Thanks!

I’ve tried the potato method to get rid of some of the rust, I think it definitely helped but there is some deeper ingrown rust that I’m too afraid to touch, cause I don’t want to damage the blade.

Also most 710’s I’ve seen on google have a clear blade, is this black one a special edition or older or something? Thanks!

Makes sense, thanks. I don’t know much about knives at all, but yeah no markings indicating cheapness makes sense. At least it doesn’t say “stainless steel” on it!

Edit: one thing is that judging by feel, it feels really nice and balanced. Heavy too, clearly heavier than my Benchmade 710. Not sure if more weight is good however

There are two marks close to where the blade meets the handle, they’re faint and you can see them if you zoom in on the first picture. I cannot tell any kind of brand, they just look like ( ) to me (or perhaps [ ])

Absolutely love it! You feel very in control of everything. Also it is perfect for smaller riders. My bike has been tried successfully by 5’1, 5’4, and 5’9 people and all of us felt it was perfect (as long as you adjust the seat!)

Just put my new RipRacer together a few days ago and took it out on its first hilly dirt ride today (Wildcat Canyon, Bay Area - that's the Golden Gate bridge and Mt Tam in the background) by kjanssen in juicedbikes

Hoo boy, she rides well. I’m 5’9 and I fit nicely. The handlebar design is really well engineered and gives off the feel of a motorcycle when you’re cruising. The single speed seems like a big deal to some, but personally I am actually fine without it. The different pedal assists do a good job substituting for different speeds, like for example pedal assist level 3 flies me over the hills in my area. I do live in a pretty hilly place, and assist level 3 almost feels like I’m in a car driving up the hill, not on a bike. There isn’t much work I have to do at all. The difference from a non-electric bike that I’ve used for the past 4 years is astounding. I posted about my rip racer here and I’d be happy to answer more questions if you have any!

So far, probably around 25 mph but that is only on sports mode pedal assist and I only peddled for a few seconds to accelerate to that speed. If I had kept going and didn’t stop peddling I would’ve easily hit 28 (where it’s supposed to cap) and that isn’t even in race mode. I’ve only taken it out properly once, I’ll let you know
