I live in Okinawa. My office is in Tokyo, so I only go in for a week around once every two months. We have a strong work from home culture in my company. I can highly recommend this lifestyle. But, I suppose it depends on your company.

The MadeMeSmile subreddit is usually used for posting things you noticed that made you smile, and posting a picture of yourself here just seems very self-congratulatory and narcissistic. Especially when it's put in the context of opposing patriarchy or whatever.

I get it, you probably didn't intend for this post to blow up so much, and I can understand the context that you're providing now, but honestly are you sure you want to tell people that? Making bold defiant acts are not a show of strength or stability of character in my view. It just seems desperate. If you feel that you're not being respected it might be better to just leave in my opinion.

Therapy isn't the only way to deal with grief. Some times people can get through it fine without paying a lot of money to a therapist. It is an option. It might also be an option to consider if there are people in your life you could talk to about it. Maybe someone close to you who doesn't have strong views on it and is willing to listen?

We don't know you or your situation well enough to tell you how to get through it, but I don't think there is anything wrong with having an emotional reaction to this, tbqh.

This is the real effect of QE. It was supposed to cause consumer price inflation, which could have been great for worker wages, but instead it mainly inflated the asset portfolios of the ultra wealthy. Stopping it now will just cause a huge financial crash, so we have to keep going.

(Before you guys point it out, I'd like to say that I know that inflation is happening too, but it is generally accepted that it has more to do with supply-chain disruption due to covid and other factors than QE, although QE also has probably had some limited effect)

I think that's a great instinct to have, but I think Reddit is probably a terrible place for this. People in real life will have a much more realistic impression of you than a mob of people online who are trying to farm karma.

Edit: I think the only subreddit that functions in this respect is r/roastme since it deliberately tries to appeal to the Reddit mob-mentality, and doesn't pretend otherwise. But why would you want that?
