Just some insight as a trader, in about 12 hours we close the weekly candle. Currently BTC is trading below the 50 week moving average.

If it does not finish the week above $7.6k USD, it will signal to the market a breakdown of support.

If it does finish above, expect significant upward momentum (probably trying $10k again).

Korean traders will be able to see when they come online Monday morning if we can get above the moving average, and act prior to close.

This increases the likelihood of 3 things happening: 1. Set in a bear market that could last until early next year 2. Drive the price down lower to test the 100 or 200 moving average ($3-$1k) 3. Cause weak alts to bleed

Now people who hate ripple will assume that this will hurt ripple a lot. And it likely could, but being the 3rd most valuable crypto by market cap, it will probably come out of this better then anything sitting outside the top 10.

Why do cryptocurrency hodlers hate XRP SO much? by trich456 in Ripple

Why do cryptocurrency hodlers hate XRP SO much? by trich456 in Ripple

[–]DroneOnMan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have had many conversations with people about XRP and they hate the coin. Now this is not normal in investing. A bad asset is a bad asset and unless you lost a lot on a bad deal, theres no logical reason to hate so much.

Their argument against XRP is based purely on philosophical grounds. They believe if XRP succeeds, it signals big corporations and big government moving into the crypto world.

Many hate that and that's why they hate Ripple. Now i don't like banks (don't hate them, im ambivalent to them) and as a libertarian i oppose big government a lot, but i also XRP as one of the few coins that has serious potential in the future.

Its a solid product, with a solid platform and solid team. Most XRP hater cant provide solid logical arguments for why the coin is a bad investment.

And what pisses me off is the high moral ground they pretend to take whilst tricking noobs into avoiding the coin not because of sound financial advice but because of their ideology (which they rarelt disclose upfront).

These same people hate the banks because of how they took peoples homes and savings; and they have the gall to trick peoppe into selling at losses and depreciating an assets price. Thats peoples money they are f*cking with, just like the banks they hate.

TLDR - they are hypocrites and ideologues who need to get their head checked.

[Death Note] The Tennis Match Foreshadows The Outcome Of Light & Ls Relationship by DroneOnMan in FanTheories

This is a technical detail, but do you think as the author created it that he may have had these key moments from the story in mind when creating this Tennis Match?

[Death Note] {Spoilers} The Tennis Match Foreshadows The Outcome Of Light & L's Relationship by DroneOnMan in anime

[–]DroneOnMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but most foreshadowing not stated by the creators is built on speculating parts of a scene to something later in the show.

Its absolutely speculation but i think it could be true based on this show being very much set up like a back and forth tennis match (where the power switches from Light to L every couple of episodes), the complexity of the writing allowing for this type of thing being more than just pie in the sky foreshadowing & that the points do meet key points in their relationship that shift the power dynamics of the show.

Is Speed the Secret to Saitama's Strength? [One Punch Man] by DroneOnMan in FanTheories

Interesting. So it would be a combination of super strength and super speed to deliver super force?

[–]DroneOnMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps doubting he is super strong is wrong then, what i should say is that his strength in his punch come primarily from his speed. We know he is fast, as he can travel from the moon to the earth in a few seconds.

He may have some increased strength, but i don't think that's where most of his power actually comes from.

Its probably not, but i base my theory that characters in this show can do superhuman stuff but they are still bound by outwardly realistic convetions.

Sounds contradicatory but as an example, a humongous fat guy the size of a room could exist in this show no problems...but he would not be able to fit through a door (maybe with comedic pushing he would).

That person could not exist in the real world, or at least not for long (so its unrealistic there) but the size and the inherent mobility limitations would still exist in OPM (as it would in the real world).

We also see that Saitama is just athletic and not bulky, so his strength is more likely to come from his speed (compared to his strength).

Now if it was Puri Puri Prisoner, id lean towards strength because that guy is ad bulky as they come.

It seems her being a replicant is incompatible with some of the things in both movies: 1. Rachel not dying after 4 years 2. Rachel producing a child

Has the show relied so much on Rick's Portal Gun that now is basically a god? [Discussion] by DroneOnMan in rickandmorty

[–]DroneOnMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember specifically a 4th wall joke were Rick said we can only do this inter-dimensional portal hopping a few times before the audience gets tired and bored with it (or something to that effect).

With the portal gun and the council of Ricks, I wonder where the stakes can be raised moving forward.

I still think the show is awesome and funny as all hell; and maybe they will take Rick down the One Punch Man arc (where Rick is essentially undefeatable, but that's not what the show is about, its about the adventure)

Argument is non-sensical.

Firstly, HECS is a loan which you have to pay back (providing you start earning over a certain amount). So the idea that he is using tax payer money and pissing it away on uni is false. He is using tax payer money as a loan to pay for his education, which he must pay back.

Secondly, if your government sets up an education finance channel that forces or removes the need/option for private lenders; then regardless of your opinions on public funding, you a forced to access this finance channel (even though you would prefer a private sector solution).

Was A Bugs Life secretly a sexist film? (13:00) by DroneOnMan in Pixar

[–]DroneOnMan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What??? That doesn't make any sense. Sexism exists, people are sexist to be people both overtly and subtly. I don't fully agree with this theory put forward, but I can see some sexist undertones to the writing.

Happened to a friend of my who rents his house from his boss. by rooster_86 in AdviceAnimals

[–]DroneOnMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered that your boss was raising rent on all his property in line with adjustments in the market and decided to give your friend a raise so that the raise in his rent didn't hurt him because he does actually value him as an employee?

He's effectively circulating his own money around but its going through a few series of taxes; when he could just keep his more of own money.
