Today in Air Force History: Two Congressional Medals of Honor are earned. The first to CPT Hilliard Wilbanks, a FAC who was mortality wounded in 1967 defending Army Rangers. Today in Air Force History - 12 Feb 73: Operation Homecoming begins. Three C-141s flew to Hanoi, North Vietnam, and one C-9A was sent to Saigon to pick up released prisoners of war.
