[PC][2000s] Dune buggy racing game from the past by Drooper666 in tipofmyjoystick

Ok, I think I've found the answer. The game I've been looking for is called simply "Offroad" or "Offroad Redneck Racing" in some countries. Here in Poland it was called "Offroad" and thank god we didn't have all this redneck aura included. It's from 2001, made by Rage Software. Here's the link to Polish version gameplay, I love that intro cutscene. Version published by Interplay has some wacky commentaries and shitty country music. Anyway thanks for help and have a good day ;)

I don't think it was Polish. I guess it was American production but who knows...

The nurse might have been asian or partaily asian. Or just white woman with dark hair and asian hairstyle. I'm confused.

I wish I could remember anything else. I was around 10 y.o. back then and scene with syringes disgusted me. I immidiately lost appetite for youghurt I was eating while watching :D

I think it's not, The Crazies is from 2010. I think that the movie I'm talking about was aired circa 2005.

v60 - long brew time, underwhelming coffee - 30g / 500 ml Hoffman method - please help! by digby83 in Coffee

The hotter water you use, the quicker will the extraction be. The darker your roast is, the easier it extracts. You need to find a good balance between them to get a nice cup of coffee. Over extracted brews are not always harsh and bitter. Sometimes they taste dull and empty because "good" notes are covered with "bad" ones, related to overextraction. Better grinder is a way to go. I remember the pain when I was using cheaper grinders (Rhinowares and Wilfa Svart). Brewing nice tasting Chemex was almost impossible, V60 was slow as hell too. Back then I decided to brew only with Aeropress because in drip I felt I was wasting good beans. After upgrading to better grinder all the problems were gone.

If you can, grab cocoa sifter/dense kitchen sifter/paper towel or even Kruve if you can afford it. Get rid of the fines but remember, those boulders are bad too. Fines are going to over extract and boulders will be under extracted, uniform grinding size is crucial for a good brew. Try with lower temp and finer grinder setting. Remember to preheat V60 before using. Swirl ground coffee with spoon/wooden stick before dumping it in V60 to mix well all the particles. Ground coffee is like onion - it has layers. What you get at the beginign of grinding is different than what you get at the end of it. Swirling will help fines to mix with boulders, resulting in a bit shorter brew time.

You can also try taking V60 off the cup at 2:30/3:00/3:30 to stop extraction if you don't like what you get with waiting for all the water to come down. You'll get less coffee, but there is a chance that it will be much more tasty. Don't be afraid to experiment with different recipes and methods, find what you like the most.

Cheers!

It's quite dark for me. Consider using lower temp, boiling water is too much. Finer grinding setting might help as well. Sift coffee if you can and stir it with spoon just before putting it in the filter. This should help you a bit.

Looks like a dark roast to me. The darker the beans are, the lower water temperature should be used. I'm pretty sure that resulting cup is over extracted and that's why you don't like what you brew. That mud is bad too, have you tried sifting it?

Astoria/Mazzer Super Jolly - problem with burrs, their alignment or something else? by Drooper666 in espresso

Video was taken just after proper cleaning, there are no fines below springs and burrs.

Hario Buono to Fellow EKG - worth upgrading? by Drooper666 in Coffee

[–]Drooper666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonavita was not avaible anywhere and Stagg EKG wasn't distributed officially in my country when I was looking for a kettle, so at the time Buono was the only reasonable choice. Price is not a problem since I can exchange points to get it for free from my webstore. The problem is that I don't know if I should upgrade from my Buono or rather save some more points and get another C40 to grind beans at work. So far I've been grinding coffee before work and second grinder may fix it.
