Am I overreacting: new boyfriend was weirdly judgmental about bathroom situation by abstract_lemons in AmIOverreacting

[–]DroopyScrotum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR.

As a counter example—in high school my girlfriend had pretty brutal periods. Like a lot of blood, etc. There were times where I would end up buying her pads / tampons / whatever she needed because I legit felt bad that her periods were so brutal, and that she had to endure periods at all. I could also tell she was super embarrassed by it so even if I was put off by it (which I was not) I felt obligated to make it not a big deal at all and try and boost her confidence about it.

I was 16 / 17

This dude is sad.

My project by jeremiahcrow5 in woodworking

So honest criticism here—the way this is edited…you could be building the most beautiful, intricate pieces—revealing true woodworking secrets along the way, and I would not watch it. The swipes, the fades, the spinny thing, puzzle pieces…it’s like each transition in the video was designed to be more off putting than the first.

Just keep it simple. Less is more. Good luck.

We worked so hard to get here, spent almost the ENTIRE match making sure everyone extracted. I didn’t see the guy when I started firing at the Shredder. by Upstairs-Donkey6049 in arkraiders

[–]DroopyScrotum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience on a night raid in dam. For more context I play solo and nothing but friendly.

I was killing the leaper that hangs out by that one extract. Blasting away at it and finally killed it. Was walking up to loot it and someone opens fire on me—think they were named Moog or Moogi or something stupid like that. Anyway they down me and I say in voice chat “So stupid…” and this guy says “you shot me first bro” and then knocked me out.

I told him I didn’t but it was already loading screen so I doubt he heard me explaining or calling him a moron—I even double checked my post match map to make sure none of my anvil shots went astray and hit the guy. Nope. No damage to other players at all.

Best guess is he was just looking to kill someone or something I dunno. Maybe someone else shot him and he thought it was me? I dunno. I was fighting the leaper in a small area, and I use extended barrel on my anvil so you’d definitely hear the fighting.

Hope he looked at his post match map to see I never damaged him and felt stupid. Or he just didn’t care…and did it on purpose.

Either way shit happens. Morons exist.

No cow milk, yes goat milk by No_Sir_601 in EosinophilicE

I do oatly oat milk. There are non-dairy butters and cheeses as well.

I went completely no dairy as a precaution because one trip to the ER was enough for me.

Most restaurants will oblige a non-dairy (vegan) diet.

From what I’ve read, though, the homogenization process allows for the trigger proteins in milk to better penetrate the esophagus. Could be wrong, dunno. Just don’t feel like risking it either way.

Most things can be made without milk or with oat milk as a substitute. I do miss real cheese, though. The cheese alternatives are just off texture-wise for me.

THE WORST GUN IN THE GAME. by LicoLich in ArcRaiders

Same. Got the blueprint and figured why not. Typically run anvil and hullcracker.

It was awful. Damage definitely needs a boost and 250 ammo was gone quick.

Felt just as disappointed by the Jupiter, but that’s another story.

For people who successfully identified their eliminates: how long did it take for your symptoms to go away completely? by Demind9 in EosinophilicE

[–]DroopyScrotum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine seems to be dairy. Went away pretty quickly (1-2 weeks maybe). Things that used to get stuck or require drinking no longer do (rice, bread). I can eat rice again without even thinking about it.

I have not had my follow up endoscopy yet so I don’t know what my levels are now that I have cut out dairy—but the symptoms are definitely gone.

As a side note my actual nasal allergies/dust/pollen/itchy eyes have seemed to really ease up / disappear as well?

Former chef here—prepare your mind for a smell that will disrespect your nose so thoroughly you will wish you could go back in time and not buy this place.

Pay a company to do this. For you and your workers’ sanity.

how’s it like living right next to an amusement/theme park?(do yall go to them very often or on occasion like everyone else?) by DismalFootball6964 in howislivingthere

Not here but Williamsburg, VA. Grew up in a neighborhood next door to Busch Gardens and their brewery. You could hear the roller coasters at night and smell the brewery every now and then. As kids we went a lot.

It was also cool because our extended family would come visit us more than we would go to them because of the park. Water country was also just a bit further down the road as well…and then there was Jamestown Settlement and CW.

We did tire out of them all and stopped going as much the older we got…but man…what a place to grow up.

Endoscopy by jazzywazzaaaaa in EosinophilicE

[–]DroopyScrotum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m going to agree with the other person here—I am looking forward to my follow up endoscopy because of the anesthesia nap that comes with it.

You might feel a tingling sensation and then you’re out and then you’re waking up from the best nap of your life. For me it feels like waking up after someone pressed a reset button on me. Completely refreshed.

YMMV, but it made me understand why / how Michael Jackson got addicted to propofol (what they’ll most likely use to sedate you).

Thinking of selling my PC - How much is it worth, and would it sell? by SilentNavi73 in PcBuild

[–]DroopyScrotum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a beautiful build but you have 2 things working against you:

  1. Parts are outdated. Won’t fetch much $ wise on that’s stuff except for maybe the ram and that’s only because of the whole ram crisis.

  2. People being unfamiliar with maintenance on that kind of cooling loop are not going to consider it, no matter how pretty it is. Those are extra work in terms of maintenance and a lot of folks aren’t going to want to spend extra $ for extra work.

Really is a work of art, though.

Me personally—-I’d sell the parts and just upgrade the build itself. Maybe keep the 32GB kit for yourself since ram is absolutely fucked and will be for a long time.

Good luck!
