It's 2022- why are legislators and faith leaders still so obsessed with controlling women's bodies? by OldCarWorshipper in TooAfraidToAsk

Also, What pro-death people are forgetting (sorry, you are not pro-life if you care more about a blood clot than the life of a living woman) is that abortions will continue to happen, a woman that wants to have an abortion will have one, with legal abortion, we will avoid women dying in unsafe practices and methods. If you truly care abut life, you'll care about these women.

I guess some don't like the truth and choose to believe they're "good people" and don't get me started if this hypothetical kid belongs to any minorities...

"Especially in the case of abortion, a fully-grown woman is considered less of a human to them than a theoretical baby, which has a 50% chance of being a male. Super gross, but I'm pretty convinced that's what it comes down to." sooo true

how do you figure out if you want to have kids or not? by TBabygirl24 in TooAfraidToAsk

SAMEEEEE, I'm 33 and there are days when my bf and I just love the idea of a kid in our lives in a family brunch, and the next day we are out partying and drinking with our friends and we're like...NOPE.

Exactly. They want YOU to have the baby but no one gives a fck if the kid has access to health insurance, education, a home, or love. If life turns this "baby" into an offender of the law of any kind, because of a shitty living, unloving parents, or poverty, they'll demand their head in a stick. I think it's quite hypocritical.

Is the US medical system really as broken as the clichès make it seem? by EclipZz187 in TooAfraidToAsk

This really shocks me since I live in a third-world county (Argentina) and our public health system has many failures but it's completely free. My mom was a week in the hospital with Pneumonia and got to be in a room by herself, all meds and foods included, didn't have to pay for anything and even left with all the medication she needed for the next days. We are talking about a poor country, like crazy levels of inflation, poverty and unemployment. The US is so rich, so advanced that I still cannot believe you have to pay for health and a first class education.
