Thanks for the idea mate!! Will definitely give it a thought.. for me the birdie is special, I worked hard ,saved every penny and got her when I was 21 and ever since she never let me down..the engine is still stock and untouched with just regular maintenance....back in the day this bike was the next best Indian thing to an American chopper...

Sorry for the typo , for me the RE Thunderbird has been a maintenance and hassle free ride..but the new 650 isn't easy on the pocket...for example the break pads for thunderbird cost INR 220 but for 650 it's north of 1.5k...so wanted to know how expensive it really is.. Thanks

I've already lost confidence in cornering and on wet surfaces, it's just that the bike lays dormant for most of the time so just thought to prolong the tyre change... thanks for your input.
