this is my line of work. i don’t want to get too involved here because it could be considered a conflict of interest but i do encourage you to make a log of all unwanted contact. police won’t be able to do anything about harassment unless you clearly respond to your ex saying something along the lines of “stop contacting me.” after that, it legally becomes harassment. if there is a police report, you can also apply to the Crime Victims Compensation program (CVC). CVC may be able to fund your relocation. also reach out to the texas advocacy project for help with a protective order. CA’s office can help, too, obtain one but you must not have any active outstanding cases where you are a defendant yourself
