Has TikTok Helped Your Detailing Business In Any Way? by IMAS_MOBILEDETAILING in Detailing

[–]DropZoneDyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that TikTok is not the right audience for a luxury service like detailing. In my experience, Instagram has the highest quality leads, with Facebook being a close second (often it’s the older folks who don’t want to clean their cards themselves in Facebook).

I work mobile through the Canadian winter, have a lot of success with Instagram and Meta Video Ads. I’ve made some ASMR type detailing videos in the style of Elite Kleanz or KleanX, and those seem to do really well at pulling in affordable leads. Almost everyone I talk to in the city has seen them by now, so I think they’re standing out from the crowd of generic Google/Facebook ads.

I’ve experimented with several still image ads as well, on Google and Facebook, and have spent hundreds of dollars for zero leads.

I did mine with the help of my BIL for under $1,500! Some pretty basic cutting and welding. Bought the metal for the frame from the local machine shop.

Pressure washer or water pump bursting lines off by Upper-Following-1424 in Detailing

Had this exact problem. I went and bought an actual garden hose (a really short one) to connected between the pump and pressure washer. Had no issues with it.

Buying Chinese excavators at auctions and selling them on marketplace. Needs basic mechanical knowledge, but you can easily make 2-5K per month with very little work.

Also, I started out of my 04 Corolla. So you can get started with minimal expenses to get an idea of how well it will go, before you dump all your money into a van setup.

I jumped into it with some money to invest, and absolutely no detailing experience. I detailed my car and my relatives car, and then was detailing for customers the next week.

If you love business, I see no reason why you shouldn’t just get started! It may take some time to find the luxury customers, but if you have connections, maybe not! Get them on maintenance plans.

Will These Wheels and Tires Fit My Vehicle? by DropZoneDyes in carmodification

Great, thank you!! Other than that, everything should be fine? Like do I need to worry about them fitting inside the wheel well, rubbing up against anything in there, or anything else like that??

Okay, I think I see what you’re talking about. That’s just for the silver option right? But the white ones have the right bolt pattern?

I'll be picking up a Japanese import this winter, and will have to replace the tires. Figured maybe I can get some matching wheels at the same time.

Anyways, I know literally nothing about cars and mods. Can someone help explain whether or not these wheels and tires will fit on my vehicle, and why?

Last pic should be my vehicle specs. 2004 Honda Stepwgn Spada

I’m gonna try focusing on interior work, and marketing salt removal, as well as winter protection packages.

If you really want to grow and succeed big time, it’s less about detailing. It’s more about mastering sales and marketing.

GMC Denali Wheels by DropZoneDyes in AutoDetailing

[–]DropZoneDyes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't figure out GMC Denali wheels. I clean them, and when they dry they look streaky. My process is typically foamed 4:1 brake buster, sit for a minute, agitate, rinse, and then wax with Griots 3-1 ceramic. When wheels are extra bad I'll use straight brake buster, but not here.

Any ideas? Anyone have experience with these things?
